Over the past 5 years I have devoted myself to supporting the humane treatment of Cats here launching an advocacy org and a cat rescue org. Our home is fully enclosed yard and home is a cat sanctuary - if interested - you are welcome to meet our kitties.

Why they chose this property

Kalapana has the best weather with moderate temperatures, wonderful trade winds, and am close to my Hawaiian friends. We are close to hot ponds of Poho'iki beach park, amazingly pretty Red Road (was a red cinder road) right next to the ocean, black sand beach Kehena, and Uncle Robert's Wed night Ho'olaulea (food n music).

What makes this property unique

Kalapana Cottage is a deluxe level property which is highly appreciated since we are in the Jungle area of the island. And the outdoor private shower is a lovely experience.
