About the host
Hosted by Scott Giska
Hi, I'm Scott from Lawrenceburg, IN. I decided to purchase in Summit County to continue my Mom's legacy of family and friends coming together for great fun, good food and togetherness. After sending my oldest son Nate to Colorado in 2006 for college at the University of Northern Colorado, his love of the mountains and discovery of Frisco after many snowboarding weekends brought us to Tarn Landing. I fell in love with the Frisco area as soon as I arrived. It's a second home for the Giska family and friends, and the Wilson's (our first neighbors and dear friends out of college) from Indianapolis, IN. We want to share our love and passion for Colorado with you. Those that have come, always come back!
Why they chose this property
Easy access of I-70 and minutes to great ski/snowboard resorts, the beauty of Lake Dillon, fly fishing out back and hiking within a short walk. The experience includes a protected wilderness preserve off the deck with great views, soaring ceilings, and the unit is tastefully appointed. We have comfortable radiant heat in the floors, a gas fireplace, and all the basic must-haves needed for a great Colorado vacation or short visit.
What makes this property unique
Far less expensive than ski-in and ski-out locations with more conveniences. You don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to with great local bus service to all resorts and Main Street. We love walking across the street to the Safeway, or short walks/drives to Natural Grocers and Whole Foods...you know the drill, "we need 1 more thing for dinner."
