This fully equipped house offers everything you would like in your home away from home. Whether you are looking for a warm home to nestle by the fire after a long days ski or a summer retreat to some mountain fresh air and a dip in the pool- Moose Cabin is your destination.

Experience close proximity to down hill skiing, fishing, restaurants and more makes this property an ideal location for your get-away in any season.

Cozy ski trip!

My family and I enjoyed 3 days at moose Cabin. Perfect location for getting to all local ski resorts. We enjoyed the Rec center hot tub and steam sauna! Plenty of dishes and cooking items! Beds were very comfortable.

Great Summer Spot

Super central to our daily hikes and day trips to Breckenridge, Dillon and Frisco. Great neighborhood. We utilized both the community pool/spa and the amazing Dillon reservoir bike path. We picked up delicious pizzas from Last Chance Pizza one night and recommend it. Lots of time spent on the porch.

Family winter trip

Our family gathered here for our annual winter trip to Colorado. The house housed all of us well as we enjoyed time together and playing in the snow. We had a few needs and when we contacted the owner the needs were addressed promptly. We would return if the moose cabin is available next year. Especially enjoyed the fitting artwork with the Bible verse in the downstairs bedroom!

Great location but needs cleaning

Pros: The location was great. A nice walk to the water and very close to the disc golf course, which were the reasons we gathered. We had plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen had the cookware we needed to cook yummy meals. Cons: The unit was quite dirty upon arrival. We had to sweep the kitchen and living room floors when we got in, and there was quite a bit of dirt and food scraps. The carpets in the bedrooms were dirty as well. There was exactly one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towels for the kitchen. We eventually found more of each tucked away in the garage. Neither bathroom had hand soap. The garage had multiple bags of garbage and recycling from previous stays and the smell wafted into the bottom landing. Given the cleaning fee was a decent chunk of the overall cost of renting, the unit wasn't in good shape. A few tweaks to the cleanliness and convenience of things (soap, TP, paper towels, garbage) would go a long way in making for a more enjoyable stay All in all it was a great location and made for a good place to gather with friends, just needs better upkeep between stays.

family trip

The location of this property was perfect. We could walk and hike around the house with out ever getting in the car. There were beautiful views and so much to do. We hiked to Lillie Pad Lake nearby and saw a momma and baby moose. The cabin is very close to Breckenridge, Frisco an Dillon. It was well stocked and clean. It was a perfect spot for our party of 6 adults and 2 kids under 6. We would love to stay again.

We had a great time at the Moose Cabin. The location was really great, the kids loved the pool, and there was plenty of room for all. With a little TLC, this property would have been 5 stars. New paint and a few repairs are in order to make this a perfect getaway spot. Broken parts on appliances, broken lamps, dirty walls are a few small items that would make a difference. Wouldn't stop me from staying here again though.

Great spot to hangout

This was a great location for our gathering. We didn't need someplace perfect, just a home base that had great trails and access. Doing was helpful and the photos are all accurate.

A nice home. It was clean and it offered many amenities as a guest. The home is in a great location and within walking distance to trails and hiking and the lake. Dillon is a wonderful town to visit and this home was perfect for what we were looking for. The own was also very accommodating and offered great communication when needed.

Family Vacation for a Week

The Moose Cabin was located in a great place in Dillon with easy access to Frisco, Breckenridge, and Silverthorn. The property description is a bit misleading though. While children are welcome, it has not be child-proofed for little ones. The deck is in desperate need of sanding, staining, refinishing. Two of us got splinters. The amenities list a hot tub, sauna, and communal pool. All items are communal and located in the recreation center for the complex which is about three blocks away. We thought there was a hot tub at the actual house and would likely not have booked this property had it been properly disclosed. Also misleading was the "BBQ Grill" -- it was unusable - despite being propane and there being a tank attached, prior renters or the owner had used it with charcoal and the build up made it unusable -- not to mention that the grates were filthy and the tubes where the gas comes out were completely rusted. While the outdated instructions in the house list a garage door opener, there isn't one that made using the garages very inconvenient =- especially with small children. There was not really ample parking for two vehicles either. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and we had to go buy pillows to be able to sleep. I think the property owner could include more pictures of the sleeping arrangements. There are two bedrooms upstairs (including a master with a private bath and a 1/2 bath in the hallway) and two bedrooms downstairs (which share a bathroom/shower). We would probably not stay there again knowing what we know now.

Convenient Location Nice Property For the Family

We stayed in the end of February with last minute booking to this Dillon property. It is convenient location directly of the highway to Keystone, the house has fully equipped kitchen. The gas fireplace was nice to dry the ski boots and clothes. We also used the garage, so the car was inside and warm in the morning. The house has few bunk and twin beds - it can fit more people, but was perfect for a family of 5. The owner was very responsive to all of the needs and we were able to figure out things based on our questions. Really like the property and will recommend it - it is not luxurious interior, but perfect for our skiing needs.

Beautiful, roomy home in a wonderful location.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at moose cabin. It is located within walking distance of the lake and the location was beautiful. During a walk up the bike trails we were able to hike around to the south side of the lake, and had to wait for the mule deer to wait to move in order to proceed. It is located so close to evrything we wanted to experience and more. The house was more than appropriate for our family who ranged in age from 6 to well, we will say mid 40's. We will definitely recommend this to all our friends and hope to do it again real soon. Thanks you to the owners for the opportunity to stay. We had a magical time.

Winter Paradise at secluded Moose Cabin

This home is absolutely perfect for anyone looking to get away from everything!! Don't let the word "cabin" in the title fool you.....There is Plenty of space for a family or even just a couple looking for some alone time, this is an actual home. The location is private but so close to anything from shopping to hitting the slopes!! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook as well as the laundry area being perfectly stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub at the clubhouse after a long day on the slopes. Don't forget to grab a few towels from the house before you go there. There were six adults in our group and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and the 2 1/2 bathrooms were very accommodating for all of us.The easy access to the main highway was perfect!! Last Chance Pizza is a great pizza place just a few miles away and the staff there was great, they even delivered to the pub at the other end of their little strip plaza. The owner of Moose Cabin was also very easy to contact with any questions and/or concerns. We are planning our next trip back there and we can't wait!!

Very Nice Stay

The home was easy to find, conveniently located and the floor plan lent itself to a family reunion or a 2 family stay. The open floor plan allows cooking and conversation to be interactive. Two bedrooms were on the main floor and two bedrooms were on the lower level. The laundry facilities were really helpful. The check in and check out instructions were clear. We took advantage of the recreation center and both times we were the only ones there. All of my cousins were pleased. The coffee maker broke mid-stay but we found another in a closet! The towels and bedding could use some updating. Other than that, no issues what so ever!

Great vacation rental for your family

Moose Cabin is great to check out all of Summit County. Keystone, Breck, ABasin, Loveland, and Copper are all very close. See the towns of Silverthorne, Dillon, and Breck. Moose Cabin has plenty of room for your guests, kitchen is stocked with all cooking utensils. Easy to get to from I-70.

Family Vacation at Moose Cabin

My family really enjoyed our vacation at the Moose Cabin. The four bedrooms made our stay so easy-plenty of room for naps while others gathered in the living space! We LOVED the mountain view! The kitchen was well stocked and made family meals comfortable and fun (there are grocery stores in Dillon that are easy to get to). The location is GREAT and made trips to Buffalo Mountain and Breckenridge very easy. We took advantage of the rec center and the steam room, pool and tennis courts were clean and comfortable. The photos shown in the information were very accurate. The owner was very easy to work with and made booking easy- I would highly recommend this property for any group that is looking for a vacation spot that has a great location and enough space for a large group (they have several cots, and fold outs so lots of people can fit into this space). This house was great for everyone from the 4 year old grandchild that thought searching for the "Many Moose" in the house a great past time to the adults that enjoyed the view, the location and the comfort of the property! We would certainly rent this cabin again!

Great location!

Great location and very comfortable for a big group. Only negative was the dishwasher broke. The owner told us it was going to be replaced though.

Moose Cabin is a family owned property. We purchased the home to use as a family gathering, or get away from everyday life. We try to use the house as much as we can among our family member- both winter and summer months. It seemed a shame to let the house sit vacant while we were not using it, hence the decision to rent it out ourselves to others who wanted to enjoy the great amenities.

Why they chose this property

The mountain house provides us with a means for great access to ski resorts in the winter to fresh mountain air and hikes and swimming in the summer. The walking path is located right in front of our subdivision which provides great access to the lake for a quick walk for some great fishing! We love that the house is situation close to a grocery store or novelty stores yet nestled in the trees for that 'mountain' feeling. The pool, grill, outdoor tennis courts and hot tub are a bonus during the day or after a vigorous day of skiing.
