Beautiful Home, Perfect For Large Families, Easily Sleeps 10. Pets Welcome!
Immaculately kept 4 bedroom, three bath 2400 square foot home on 3/4 acre. The back yard is fully fenced with a creek running through the bottom of the property. You are welcome to bring your pets! The property is zoned for horses, but is not ideal for horses as much of the back yard is sloped. The property is located right across the street from Cree Meadows Golf Course. It maintains a country feel, however, it is close to everything and anything needed. It is a perfect get away for the entire family. It is less than a five minute drive to either Suddreth or Mecham, the two main roads in town. The grocery store is just a couple minutes from the home, as are many wonderful restaurants, including Casa Blanca. Ski Apache is nearby, as is the famous racetrack, Ruidoso Downs. The home is a fully furnished 2 story home. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the bottom floor, so those with physical limitations will not have to climb stairs. The bottom floor also features a large open kitchen and dining area. and a large family area with a stone fireplace, a bumper pool table and a flatscreen television. There are beautiful hardwood floors downstairs as well as an indoor laundry room. Also attached to the house is a greenhouse and a screened in porch for relaxing or napping. The greenhouse and porch are not included in the square footage. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms, including a huge master bedroom with a new bathroom, as well as another bathroom. This home can easily sleep 10-12 people. There is a hide-a-bed couch downstairs. There is a two car carport attached to the home with a large storage shed. Our home is used by our family many times during the year and has a very homey feel to it. Our home is your home!!

We had a lovely stay for a few days over New Year. The property is old so had some issues with the heating initially, but the owner quickly that them resolved by a technician. Great location and well equipped house for a family break.
Our stay here at this property has been so wonderful we've decided to stay another month. The property owner is wonderful to work with and responds very quickly. We love it here
Nicely appointed and decorated, clean, well maintained, across from golf course, plenty of space, and daily visits from local elk and deer herds. Very responsive owner and we enjoyed our stay. Will book again next year if available.
It was a cute house. Enough room for everyone. Older furnishings but it didnt matter. Great location and owner was very nice. There were some quircky things about it but we had fun with it LOL. Would definitely go back here.
Probably the highlight of the trip was the abundance of wildlife. Elk, deer and horses! House is in a great location, easy to get around and the village. It's a big house, with plenty of space for a big group, even though there we only 2 of us. Great communication with the property management as well!
The property was WONDERFUL. It's an older looking cabin but that just adds to the charm. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils. Beds were comfortable and warm. We were a group of 7 and there was ample space for everyone to feel comfortable. The yard is fully fenced and perfect for the pups to play with a great view. We have stayed in a lot of cabins in Ruidoso, this is the first one all of us said we'd rent again.

Property in total need of repair
We were in this property for 18 days. The two upstairs bedrooms are fine. Downstairs is a sadly a different story. The carpet was very dirty in the main bedroom and was cleaned after it was reported. Washcloths were gray and poop stained. We were given an allowance to buy new ones. Sofa was soiled and we used a bedspread to cover it. Dishes were not getting clean in dishwasher. Many have chips. Pans are in poor condition. Partially unpainted drywall on bedroom ceiling. Dog chewed rug under dining room table. Broken step to backyard that was repaired after report. Grass was not mowed in back yard and up to bottom of lower rail of split rail fence. We enjoyed watching the deer and elk.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home for all of June and July. The location is amazing, close to everything! Having the golf course across the street and the creek just behind the home meant that we had constant elk and deer visitors, and occasionally wild horses - hanging out in large groups on the golf course and wandering across our yard. We enjoyed filling the bird and hummingbird feeders in the backyard, and watching the frequent woodpeckers and hummingbirds feeding. The home has a wonderful "country-like," homey feel. It's by no means modern, but has a nice feel to it and was stocked well with kitchen and home supplies. The front and backyard are spacious, with a nice porch and back deck, very enjoyable. The only downsides, from our perspectives: 1. The mattresses and couches could use updating, they are pretty old and saggy. 2. It's on a fairly major street. There is no A/C, which is common for the area. The downstairs of the home stayed quite pleasant the majority of the time! So the lack of A/C wasn't much of an issue. However, we wanted to sleep with windows open, and the road noise was a slight challenge. Not a big deal with a box fan running (several in the home) to drown out the noise. The street being pretty busy also meant it was difficult to walk or bike directly from the house, but it's a very short drive to many places to walk & bike. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay and were happy to spend the summer there!
Spacious property convenient to everything Ruidoso. All roads led to this house. It was warm and comfortable. The elk, deer and wild Mustangs were fun to watch. However, it was in dire need of updating. Everything in the house was brown and dated. Appeared to have been built in the 60’s and only kitchen appliances had been updated. Two toilets needed replacing, no hair dryers in the bathrooms, mix-matched towels, old linens, old cookware with loose handles, tables and chairs with loose legs, mix-matched lightbulbs with no replacements, firewood would not fit in fire stove, very dim lighting. But, the price was right and we were comfortable.
Great place, size, location, clean, and comfortable beds.
Great place, size, location, clean, and comfortable beds.
Great wildlife and scenery. The main down town is 1 mile away and snow tubing 10 min away.
Hall of Flames Burger, Anaheim Jacks and Jorge’s Cafe where great places to eat.
DO NOT eat at Dennys.
Unfortunately Ruidoso did not have enough snow to ski so we drove 3.5hrs north to Santa Fe and they had great snow.

Good location - good size
Located well for area. Street busy, but still feel private. Great value for 4 BDR. Cleanliness and interior features were fair. We did house cleaning and washed windows after arrival.
We really liked this house. It was clean, there is plenty of room, convenient in town location.
It is on a busy street, only a problem if you want the windows open. It was unusually hot while we were there, and the house does not have AC.
We would stay there again.
We spent a couple weeks in Ruidoso to escape the Texas heat, and this house worked great for us! Our adult kids joined us on weekends, and there was room for everyone, plus even a fenced back yard for the doggies.
The house is centrally located close to grocery, restaurants, and shops, and we often went for late-afternoon walks along the golf course (after golfers left). The Cedar Creek trails are only minutes away, so we took our dogs on a hike there or one of the other many trails outside of town daily.
Altho an older home, it was very clean, with nice hardwood floors and all the kitchen items needed. We were thrilled to find a Bumper-pool table under the game/poker table, but it couldn't be used as the bumpers were loose. Hopefully it will be repaired for the next guests. The main suggestion we have is to put a King-sized bed downstairs. We did not want to go up/down stairs where the master bedroom is located, so we each used a bed in the two downstairs bedrooms -- a Queen bed is just difficult for two adults to sleep comfortably when they're used to a King, as most people are.
We especially enjoyed our mornings on the back deck in the cool mountain air. We hung up a new bird feeder, so there were many happy birds eating sunflower seeds, hummers lapping up nectar, deer and elk browsing along the creek behind the house -- plus wild horses grazing on the golf course at dusk! We certainly look forward to staying here again!
The place was nice and we felt right at home. When we arrived we were able to see a group of Elk on the property next door. I would say if you are allergic to pets be aware. My daughter and I seemed to have itchy eyes throughout our time In The home. I also had to change once because I sat on a chair in the queen bedroom and quite a bit of white dog hair ended up on my black pants. The other thing is if you have a group staying when booking it seems you are required to purchase the $60 insurance. Other than that this is a cozy place that is close to everything!
We stayed here for Christmas and we had an excellent stay. It’s a great family home and at a great location. Everything is near by. It had everything we needed. There were quite a few of us and our pets came along as well. Overall we are really happy with our stay. We highly recommend this home especially for large families.
We stayed in the Connors' house for just over a month, and we loved it! The rooms were cozy, and beds were comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. There's no AC, but we kept windows open most of the time and it was plenty cool! The heater kept us toasty on cold mornings. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and even some extras like basic spices. We loved the screened-in porch and the back patio, and we saw loads of wildlife (birds, deer, elk) in the yard throughout our stay. Our kids loved exploring the back property (the part behind the backyard, extending down the ravine to the little creek) - they found all kinds of wildflowers, snail shells, mint plants, and even an apple tree! We had a few questions during our stay, but Louise always responded very promptly and helpfully! If we come back to Ruidoso, we would certainly stay here again! The only reason we might end up choosing somewhere different would be if we decided to get a place that was a little more remote - no complaints at all about the property itself!
OUR experience w this house was great spacious, the only thing is we did have to clean the sheets and outside whoever was the maid did a awful job n cleaning, please hire another maid, but overall house was what i expected it grew w us, its like it turned alive the color of the wallpaper on the stairs looked dull n it looked alive when we left! windows were awesome! especially in the master bedroom upstairs! it jus needs a lil tlc when u get there! i would love to go back!

We as a family love visiting Ruidoso several times a year. No matter what time of year it is, there is always something to do. We visited for many years prior to purchasing our home. It is a beautiful place!
Why they chose this property
Our property is unique in that it is so close to everything in town, yet maintains a country feel. If there is a large family visiting, this property is perfect as everyone can do what they want, even if it means doing different things. Golf, shopping, skiing, horseback riding, hiking, etc. It is all close by. It is very inviting and feels like home.
What makes this property unique
There is a front patio, with a swing, and a back porch with comfortable seating for reading, relaxing or napping. The bottom floor is very open so everyone can chat and relax. This really is a beautiful home.
