This VRBO was an absolute haven after many hours on the road! The room was incredibly cozy, and the bed gave me the best night's sleep. It has a wonderfully stocked kitchen with great coffee, and a cozy living room setup that was perfect for a “settle down” movie night. The location is excellent and close to everything on Main Street. I took in a glance at the Arkansas River from the park bridge and had to check out the whitewater surf wave. Rebecca was a fantastic host and recommended a spectacular spot for dinner, a 10 minute walk from the house. I would absolutely stay here again!

I have spent most of my professional life as a cattle rancher and college teacher. I love the outdoors and the Colorado mountains My hobbies include horseback riding and ranch sorting, skiing, reading and river sports. I have skied since I was 5 and have worked as a ski instructor. I enjoy history and am excited to offer this cozy, welcoming 1898 Victorian home for you to enjoy as much as I do!

Why they chose this property

I love this area of Canon City. It is very green here due to the proximity of the river bottom; the soil is amazing, and there are lots of huge trees and green lawns. The deer also enjoy this area and regularly wander through the neighborhood.

Everything near the festivals and downtown is walkable in just a few minutes, and the proximity to Centennial Park allows me to just walk to community festivals and not have to worry about parking. The park also boasts a river wave, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, and a splash park.

There are wineries nearby, and the area is known for its proximity to the Royal Gorge, rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. It's only a 15-minute drive to Florence, the Antique Capitol of Colorado, and scenic drives such as Skyline Drive and Phantom Canyon Road are easily accessible.

And, since Canon City is the climate capitol of Colorado, most of these activities are enjoyable year-round.

What makes this property unique

Built in 1898, this home is cozy, charming, and inviting. In a quiet residential neighborhood, it is still just steps away from historic downtown and local festivals. Then escape from all the activity and enjoy your very own quiet getaway, with a relaxing outdoor space, firepit and grill to enjoy the wonderful weather!
