We had a family gathering and the Canon City rental was ideal! Great location, had all the amenities and tools for hosting a Thanksgiving meal (minus a dishwasher). The kids and dog enjoyed the backyard! Ray was available and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

A great spot to explore the city - great for families and pets. Overall nice facilities - definitely a few rough edges (garage where games are is separate, cold and the door is missing a handle/lock) and could have nicer toilet paper, etc. Checkout instructions were confusing as the ones sent through VRBO conflicted with the ones in the welcome book at the house itself. It was good for what we needed for the weekend.

Nice Stay in Canyon City

We enjoyed our stay, the house was nice, plenty of rooms, AC worked great. Outside grill did not work, only downside. We had mule deer visit daily, plenty of fun things to do in this beautiful town!

The home is well stocked as advertised. Kid friendly quiet neighborhood. House is clean and welcoming to just be comfortable. We had a family Easter get together and 10 people were quite comfortable hanging out. I would stay here again and I would recommend it for someone with kids .

Quaint little place

This place was very easy to stay in. There is some use abuse but nothing that wpuld keep me away from renting again! We enjoyed a fire every night and the kids enjoyed the playground everyday

The location was fantastic! We had 3 deer in the back yard every morning. House was comfortable and clean. Only downfall.was nothing in the game room.was functional. All balls and tires were flat. Pool cue stick tips were busted. Fortunately our grandson is 3 so he knew no difference and was happy. I did let property mgr. Know and he was very responsive. I would definitely stay again!

Property could use some TLC but was nice inside and the playground was big hit with the kids. Everything in the house was functional, the kitchen was outdated and the game room needs a lot of improvement. Very close to Royal Gorge railroad and park.

Close to Town

Older home, close to town and amenities. We had no problems with the house and communication with the owner was great, just be aware this is an older home and therefore has some quirks that come with older houses. Yard was great, however it was inconvenient to use as the neighbor dog would constantly bark at us if we were outside.

My family and I went for Thanksgiving. The house was amazing, comfortable and cozy made it feel like a family home. The kids loved all the games, playground and outdoor space, the teens loved to get away in the basement to be loud and the adults appreciated it too. The neighborhood is peaceful and so quiet at night, we all slept like babies, the beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving diner. We went on the Santa Train and we will never forget it. I highly recommend the train ride, the scenery is amazing. Thank you so much Ray, wonderful memories were made.

The size of the house was great. Pet-friendly was accommodating. Area felt unsafe, yard was large and not well-kept, it was backing right into other neighbor’s gates, which felt insecure. Inside the home, plenty of space, very few traditional amenities. Lack of basic kitchen items (salt, pepper, oil, coffee). House was outdated, and felt dirty. Walls/doors had visible dirts marks on them, fridge was broken and dirty. Overall 2/5.

Celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary

We was not expecting to arrive and smell a strong odor of a substance like Febreze sprayed all over everything like it was covering up some type of odor. I have asthma, which caused me to cough all night. So we left the next day and did not stay the two days that we paid for. Also, there was some type of a bug that had wings like an ant or something that was crawling on the walls when we got there in the bedroom. We tried to let the owner know. He said he was going to take care of it, but we have not heard back from him since. The place needs a lot of work done on it as well carpet needs to definitely be removed. We were very unhappy. Good: Location was great! Convenient to everything Canon City. Good restaurants nearby. Good communication from owner Not so good: no heat in the master bedroom, he asked me to light the pilot, my husband and I both tried but it wouldn’t work. He said maintenance would be that the next day, but never showed. Owner told me to get another heater from one of the other bedrooms. We stayed comfortable with both heaters. Lights in the master bathroom did not work. He told me to take a lightbulb from a lamp, I couldn’t get the globe off due to rusted screws. He told me to take the lamp from another room to plug in there, I did. Ugh!! Cute furniture and accessories, but the home could use some maintenance.
