My husband and I were traveling to Mount Holyoke College for a graduation, and rather than staying at an overpriced, yet always disappointing Inn or Hotel in South Hadley, we chose to stay a bit away, here in Connecticut. The drive to the graduation was not too bad, and we, instead of having to cram into a packed city, were able to enjoy a beautiful, private stay in the woods. We enjoyed campfires in the evening, staring over the hilly horizon, and had lovely, simple breakfasts inside. The lodging itself is clean and bug-free. It's furnished with everything you need. This was ideal for just the two of us and our pet, but I can see larger families staying here and having a wonderful time, too. The trails are quiet, and there are several. We saw turkeys, hummingbirds, and foxes. The sunsets were beautiful. We didn’t use the downstairs amenities or the basement room and stayed in the main bedroom. The heating and cooling work great, and the wifi signal is strong. The beds are loaded with soft pillows and blankets. This is a great place to stay if you want to hike in the morning, have a lazy Netflix afternoon, and a little campfire fun during dinner and before bed, all while escaping from civilization (though it remains in reach). 5/5 stars, would stay again. A great place for a great price.
