The indoor pool is about 400 m away, and it’s about 700 m to the “Alpin-Express” gondola, which provides a direct connection to the “Metro-Alpin” at 3,500 m (winter and summer ski area).
In the building (basement), there is a ski storage room with ski boot heaters, as well as a washing machine and dryer (both free of charge) for shared use. Parking is available exclusively in the paid outdoor car park or at the parking terminal, approximately 150-300 m away
The apartment we are offering is located on either the 1st or 2nd floor and is bright, cosy, and well-equipped throughout. Tiled floors; the bedrooms have either laminate or carpeted floors. SAAS-FEE: This world-famous resort, with its imposing glaciers, lies in a small valley at an elevation of 1,800 m and is surrounded by 13 four-thousand-meter peaks, including such well-known mountains as the Dom, Alphubel, Nadelhorn, Täschorn, and Allalin. The entire town of Saas-Fee is car-free and can only be accessed on foot or by electric taxi. At the entrance to the town, a huge, multistorey parking terminal (for a fee) offers ample parking.
The ski resort is remarkable and is used as a training camp, especially by many national ski teams; this is because Saas-Fee is, alongside Zermatt, the only year-round ski resort (reduced to the glacier ski area in summer) in Switzerland. While the lifts in the valley are more suitable for beginners, over 20 lifts (gondolas, chairlifts, and T-bar lifts) serve approximately 100 km of downhill runs up to an altitude of 3,600 m; higher up, red and black runs predominate and are a real treat, especially for experienced skiers.
Cross-country skiing: a 6-km high-altitude trail in Saas-Fee and a 26-km cross-country trail in the valley between Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, and Saas-Almagell.
Other activities: numerous ski and snowboard schools, a cross-country skiing school, a ski kindergarten, a toboggan run, indoor tennis courts, snowshoe hikes, natural ice rinks, curling, and curling on ice. Saas-Fee also offers plenty for non-skiers (pubs, dance clubs, bars, etc.).
Summer activities in the Saas Valley and Saas-Fee: numerous hiking and high-altitude trails (totaling nearly 450 km) of all difficulty levels, a 900-meter-long summer toboggan run, a 9-hole alpine golf course, mini-golf, a high ropes course, a gorge via ferrata, a gorge zip line (Tyrolia or Flying Fox), barbecue areas, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, mountaineering, and paragliding. A mountain biking network over 70 km long with mountain bike rentals available in various towns.
Saas Valley: This charming valley, well worth a visit, with its famous holiday destinations—Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell, and, of course, the glamorous Saas-Fee—has been a hub for winter and summer sports in Switzerland for many decades. The three smaller towns of Balen, Grund, and Almagell are located in the valley and, thanks to their two very sunny ski areas (the Hohsa
