We take guest concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the timeline of this stay. The concerns reported were addressed beginning the same day they were brought to our attention, with onsite maintenance dispatched four times during the stay. The guest had been advised that maintenance would be coming to the unit; however, the first service attempt could not be completed because the interior deadbolt was engaged. Maintenance returned and continued addressing the reported concerns, including delivering a new entry mat and replacing both showerheads. The hot-water system was inspected and found to be operating properly, and management had not turned the water heater off. Although no defect with the hot-water system was found, both showerheads were replaced in an effort to resolve the guest’s concerns and ensure she was comfortable. When concerns were raised regarding kitchen linens and potholders, we agreed those items should have been replaced prior to arrival. New kitchen linens and potholders were personally delivered to the condo the following morning. We would also like to clarify the reference to a “used syringe.” The photograph provided showed a capped syringe with sterile medical packaging. We certainly understand why finding any medical item would concern a guest, and the matter was addressed accordingly. The guest ultimately requested a 50% refund, which was declined after the concerns had been investigated and repeatedly addressed. We are sorry that she remained dissatisfied despite the considerable efforts made by both management and onsite maintenance throughout her stay. We value guest feedback and continually use it to maintain and improve the property. We also encourage prospective guests to consider the consistently excellent reviews immediately before and after this stay, which we believe provide a more representative picture of the property and the responsiveness and care we provide our guests.
