About this property

Desert Light & Mountain Air — A Refined Seasonal Stay in La Quinta Cove

30 night minimum stay. SEASONAL RATES: MAY - SEPT $3,900/MONTH
OCT -DEC $4,900/MONTH JAN-APRIL $5,200/MONTH

Over 16 golf courses nearby including PGA west, the Pete Dye Mountain View course and Tradition. Also within 15 minutes is Indian Wells Tennis Center, Desert International Horse Park and the Empire Polo grounds. November through March is the prime outdoor season - with comfortable, sunny days in the high 60s to mid‑70s and cool desert nights.
If you like it a touch warmer for pool time, March through April and late October offer highs in the high‑70s to mid‑80s, before the summer heat kicks in. But rest assured the unique Sonoran desert setting offers a variety of climate and beauty all year around.

Tucked into the storied enclave of La Quinta Cove, where the Santa Rosa Mountains rise dramatically from the valley floor this three-bedroom Pueblo-style home was designed for guests who know exactly what they want: warmth, privacy, quiet and comfort. Whether you're here for a month or a season, you'll leave having lived graciously.

Step inside and notice the details: rich wood tones, hand-laid Saltillo tile, and rubbed bronze hardware — Southwest old soul with a modern twist. The living spaces are chic and grown-up, furnished for conversation and comfort in equal measure. WiFi-enabled TVs in the living room and primary or a TV free respite from the news feed in the front and guest bedrooms. Quality linens and towels that feel like home.

The kitchen, updated in 2026, is a true space for gathering — dining room for 6+, a kitchen table for morning coffee with a pool view, and a hi-top for wine o'clock. An extra large pantry with toaster, kettle, blender and even dishes for the family pets. Open shelves plus plenty of lowers - one Costco run and done. Appliances are stainless, full cookware, proper glass and tableware for both indoors and poolside. The full-size washer and dryer are inside. The two-car attached garage keeps your vehicles in the shade and your bikes and golf bags organized.

The backyard is the headline. Your private 29' × 14' salt water pool sits at the center to be accessed from the primary, the living room and the kitchen. Saltwater pools offer softer, skin-friendly water. They avoid harsh chemicals, reduce eye/skin irritation, and eliminate strong chlorine odors, providing a more pleasant, consistent and sanitary swim. Flanked by two shaded seating areas designed to get the most out of the desert sun — or to escape it gracefully by 2pm when you've earned the shade. The mountain views from the pool are the kind that make you set down your phone. Morning swims, evening cocktails, and outdoor lighting for the occasional late-night dip — the backyard does it all without requiring a single other guest to be present.

La Quinta Cove is a quieter, more intimate corner of the Coachella Valley — residential, walkable into the foothills, and just minutes from everything. Old Town La Quinta's Main Street strip is a 6-minute drive: independent cafés, proper restaurants, art galleries, and tennis courts. Sunday mornings (Oct thru May) , the village park hosts an open-air farmers market and a yoga session on the grass — the kind of weekly ritual that makes a long stay feel like a life, not a layover. We've designed this home for guests who travel with intention, and understand that the right space changes the quality of an entire season. Seller pays utilities up to $200/ month. Any overage above $200 / month is paid for by tenant monthly.

About the host

We've vacationed in the Coachella valley for 20+ years. As hosts, we love sharing what we've learned about hospitality and what we love most about the desert with guests.

Why they chose this property

La Quinta is a magical place to escape to. (We're not the first to notice; the first resort casitas were built here in 1926). Being able to see the Santa Rosa mountains up close, experience the serenity and the night sky are truly transformative.

What makes this property unique

We initially fell in love with the home's bright open spaces. The ceiling height, the natural light and mountain views from almost every room . The large private backyard and salt water pool. During the remodel, we chose a color palette authentic to the Southwest; clay browns, rich woods and rubbed bronzes with touches of periwinkle blue and goldfinch yellow, We updated the home with an eye towards preserving what made it unique, the Saltillo, decorative tile, Adobe style vigas. We furnished it for low fuss comfort and enjoyment.
