My wife and I bought the unit about 11 years ago for a place to escape from the cold northern Illinois winters with the idea of renting in the summer. You probably picked Portofino as a location where you are looking to spend some vacation time. In Portofino there is several locations within and we feel ours is one of the top picks for a two bedroom condominium. our unit is the closest two bedroom unit to the gulf on floor eleven overlooking the swimming area on the beach. The benefits of our location are based on two things sight, sound and afternoon shade from the balcony. For sight you will see the Gulf of Mexico or and now some people call it the Gulf of American, The beach is where all the activity is for swimming, volleyball, children building Sandcastles. Some Saturday afternoon weddings on the beach and sometime a fly by from the Blue Angles on early Sunday evening. For sound you need to be close to the beach to hear the waves. At night, you crack, the sliding glass door open upon an inch or so and you can sleep with hearing the waves banging up against the sand out on the beach during the night. The point is we are one of the closest two bedroom condominiums closest to the gulf in Portofino and on the 11th floor where you will be at the right height not to miss any of the joys of Portofino. A couple years ago they replaced a stretch of the road past Portofino with a brick road and it's very interesting. That only doesn't look nice, but the sounds of cars passing by has a magical sound to it that I don't know how to described. Sometimes I feel like an eight year old child watching an electric train go around a Christmas tree.
My wife Svitlana and I have owned our winter home for about 11 years and over the past ew years we have made improvements. We really enjoyed the 86 inch LG television and new furniture in the dinning and living room. We have also installed new shades for all of the windows and sliding glass doors. In the past couple of years we have also replaced the refrigerator microwave washer and dryer.
