Loon Lodge is a dream on the water. The location is wonderful; the home is beautiful and spacious. The water is clear and clean, and the beach/dock area is great, too. My kids really enjoyed the paddle boat, fishing, and kayaking. We loved sitting out on the dock in the mornings. There are many comfortable outdoor seating areas. (The only negative and really isn't even a negative was the forks. It sounds silly, but all the forks are toddler sized.)The house itself was clean, and well appointed. The beds are comfortable. The showers are large, plenty of hot water, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer on site. Our stay was wonderful!

Thank you for the lovely review Rachel! We loved hosting you and your family and I love hearing how you use the house. It sounds like you really took advantage of all the lovely aspects to it. I guess if your only complaint was forks, we are doing well! Thanks again and I do hope we see you again!
We LOVED our stay at Loon Lodge! It has a unique & fun layout that offered everyone space to spread out. The view of the lake is incredible & is what we enjoyed the most. It's the perfect getaway to unplug & enjoy nature. We spent a lot of time paddle boating & kayaking. One quiet morning, a loon popped its head up from the water a foot from the kayak. What an incredible moment! Coffee in the Adirondack chairs on the dock is how we spent many mornings and evenings. Just a few things to note: The bedroom with the king bed does not have window shades, so the sun makes its appearance bright and early (before 5am in June). Unless you are an early bird, bring a sleep mask! The other bedroom has windows that are mostly covered, but it's still fairly bright in the morning. Also, the bedroom with 2 beds does have 4 crawl spaces with stored items. They are clean and covered with roller shades, but for people with small children or a dog just be aware they're easily accessible. The pull shade doesn’t stop little ones from entering. The owner left a great binder full of information about the cabin and things to do in the area--very welcoming and thoughtful! While we weren’t new to Maine, we were new to this area. The Wi-Fi password in the binder was missing a digit, but easily remedied if you know where to look. Also, we were a little unclear on what to do for trash day as the directions didn't seem to match this cabin, so we did our best. 5 stars!! We are ready to come back!!

Thank you for the great review Jeff! I fixed the password info -helpful feedback all the way around -- we loved having you. Hope we see you again!
Loon Lodge is a wonderful place for a lake front vacation. The house is very clean and comfortable and the many windows provide beautiful views of the lake and surrounding nature. It is conveniently located for day trips to the coast and nearby towns. It is also nice and cozy for rainy days inside. The dock is the perfect spot to watch the sunset and stargaze after dark and listen to the loons. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay at this lovely property and hope to return next summer!
