In nearby Lauterbach, the harbour beckons with its fishing boats—you can even buy fresh fish here after the catch has been brought ashore—along with the ships, sailboats, and floating houses in the Jaich. The Lauterbach pier is also the starting point for the “Rasender Roland” train, which takes you through the seaside resorts across southeastern Rügen.
