We had a poor experience with our rental in Greece. Check in was not easy, as we had to contact the host who met us at the home, which was 400m up a dirt road opposite the main highway from town and the beach. Once we arrived, the host informed us that the house we rented was not available due to issues with the A/C, so they were giving us access to a different property next door (which they said was nicer anyway). The property was beautiful and modern, but we had to wait an extra hour for them to clean it. However, they said they had just turned on the A/C in that unit, and it might take awhile to cool down. It never did, it took them almost 3 out of our 4 day trip to fix the A/C, and it was HOT! It nearly hit 29C (84F) on the level with the bedrooms... in the midddle of each night! Once they finally fixed the A/C, which took them all day on the 3rd day of our trip, the Hot Water stopped working. Additionally, multiple bathroom sinks and showers leaked, the main TV did not work, and even the umbrellas at the pool kept falling because the stands were not sturdy enough to hold the weight. The final issue was that it appeared that the reason the house we actually rented wasn't available was because they rented it to another family! The house was beautiful, but it is clear to us that it was not ready to be rented to guests. When we asked for a partial refund, they simply told us we could stay there for 2 nights free in the future. BUT THE HOME IS FOR SALE! Very disappointed.
