About the host
Hosted by Bob DeLisa
Meet Your Hosts: Bob & Lisa
Welcome to our 32-acre slice of paradise! We are Bob and Lisa, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to our historic Stonington property.
As proud Connecticut natives - Lisa grew up right next door in North Stonington, and Bob is originally from Hartford - we have a deep, lifelong love for this beautiful coastal region. We know every hidden gem, scenic drive, and local favorite spot in the Mystic, Stonington, and Rhode Island beach areas, and we love nothing more than helping our guests discover the magic of our hometown.
Our property is a true reflection of our shared passions. Lisa is the heart behind our equestrian community; she loves her horses and all things equestrian, which is why you’ll find a vibrant, year-round boarding community right here on the farm. Bob is happiest embracing the farm life, hitting the golf course, or spending a day out on the water. Together, we both share a massive love for sailing, catching a sunset at the local beaches, and exploring new corners of the world.
Because we are avid travelers ourselves, we know exactly what makes a stay memorable: comfort, hospitality, and a touch of unique character. That is exactly why we love being hosts. Sharing our beautiful land - with its deep history, quiet ponds, and grazing horses - brings us immense joy. We love meeting new people, sharing travel stories, and providing a peaceful, private sanctuary where our guests can relax and recharge.
Whether you’re here to explore the coast, travel with your horses, or simply enjoy a quiet weekend away from the city, we are committed to making your stay unforgettable. We're always just a text away if you need local recommendations, or if you just want to swap a travel story or two.
We can't wait to host you!

Why they chose this property
The Neighborhood & Surrounding Scene
When you stay with us, you get the absolute best of both worlds: the profound tranquility of a country farm and immediate access to one of the most beautiful coastal regions in New England.
The Scene On the Farm
Wake up to the gentle sounds of farm life. The morning scene here is defined by mist rising off our quiet ponds, horses grazing peacefully in the paddocks, and birds chirping along our private perimeter walking trails. It is a place where you can truly slow down. Spend your afternoons sitting by the water, relaxing in the gazebo, or lighting a fire in your private fire pit as the sky turns a brilliant New England orange. There is a deep sense of history and peace rooted in this land that you can feel the moment you arrive.
What We Love Most About the Area
As local natives, what we love most about this neighborhood is its incredible variety. Within a 10-to-15-minute drive, you can transition from our quiet pastures to some of the most vibrant, historic, and scenic spots on the East Coast:
Stonington Borough: Just minutes away, "The Borough" is a historic seaside village packed with 18th-century homes, incredible local seafood restaurants, boutiques, and a charming town beach. It’s our favorite spot for a sunset stroll.
Historic Mystic: Famous for its maritime history, you can explore the iconic Mystic Seaport, visit the aquarium, or dine at world-class restaurants. The energy here is wonderful year-round.
The Beaches: We are just 20 minutes from the pristine, breathtaking beaches of Coastal Rhode Island (like the beautiful village of Watch Hill) and local Connecticut shorelines.
World-Class Entertainment: If you're looking for a bit of excitement, the gaming, dining, and concerts at Foxwoods Resort Casino are just a short drive up the road.
Whether you want to spend your day with your toes in the sand or hiding away in nature, our neighborhood offers the perfect New England escape.
What makes this property unique
What Makes This Property Truly Stand Out
What sets our property apart isn't just one thing - it is the incredible, rare combination of deep American history, an active equestrian lifestyle, and a 32-acre private coastal sanctuary that you won't find anywhere else.
Here is what makes a stay with us completely unique:
1. A Living Piece of American History
Our land holds a profound historical significance that few properties on the East Coast can claim. This very ground features the historic rock where Narragansett tribe sachem Canonchet was executed in 1676 during King Philip's War, marking a definitive turning point in early New England history. We love personally guiding our guests past the horse paddocks to visit this sacred, reflective site.
2. A True Equestrian & Pet-Friendly Paradise
We aren't just a house near a field; we are a vibrant, year-round horse boarding community. For horse lovers, the atmosphere is unmatched. Even better, we offer rare "ship-in and board" opportunities for travelers looking to bring their own horses along. Because we also feature an on-site dog kennel, we can provide doggie daycare services (feeding, walking, and playtime) for a small fee so you can enjoy a worry-free day at the beach or casino.
3. 32 Acres of Absolute Serenity
While most tiny houses are tucked into small backyards, ours sits on a sprawling 32-acre sanctuary. You have full access to walk the farm's scenic perimeter, relax in our gazebo, or sit by the quiet ponds. Your immediate outdoor space even includes private Adirondack chairs and a fire pit.
4. Coast & Country Intersect
You get total rural tranquility without sacrificing convenience. We are a perfect stopover between NYC and Boston, located just minutes from historic Stonington Borough, Mystic, and Foxwoods, and only 20 minutes from pristine Rhode Island beaches. We even provide the beach chairs, umbrellas, and floats!
