A great base for cycling and sightseeing with small reservations

This apartment was a base for our cycling holiday. The location is ideal, you can be in the railway station and by the river’s cycling routes in 5 min. The garage parking spot and the bike storage are also very handy. The city center is only a few minutes on foot. The owners are very helpful, friendly and flexible. The communication with them was prompt and clear. The apartment is clean and functional. There are, however, two things I want to point out to future guests: First, during hot weather it gets really warm inside. We were there in September and a heat wave (28-31 C the entire week) caught us by surprise. As the apartment is on the top floor with the windows getting sun the whole day and as there is no air conditioning, the temperature inside was rather unbearable (even with all the shades down during the day). The floor fan helped a bit, but still it was very sweaty. Since the building is at the corner of a busy street, you get a lot of noise from the street when you have to keep all the windows wide open. Second, the kitchen is small, even smaller than it appears in the picture. There are a lot of appliances etc. but very little space to really prepare meals or cook (as the kitchen especially was really warm, we decided to forgo any cooking except for making breakfast). If you are travelling in colder seasons or don’t mind the heat and if you don’t plan to cook a lot, then this apartment can be wholeheartedly recommended.

Urlaub in Trier

In Trier hat uns eine wunderschöne Altstadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten erwartet. Auch das Umland bzw. Umgebung war wunderschön. Besuche der Reichsburg Cochem, dem Winzerfest in Bernkastel-Kues, eine Fahrt auf der Mosel sowie der Stadt Koblenz durften nicht fehlen und haben unseren Aufenthalt in Rheinland Pfalz abgerundet. Unsere Erwartungen wurden erfüllt.

Sehr gute Lage und Ausstattung

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen herzliche Gastgeber. Die Wohnung war top gepflegt und sehr sauber, zudem super eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollwertig ausgestattet, hier kann man kochen. Das Schlafzimnmer liegt nach hinten raus und ist ruhig. Die Betten sind super. Wichtig ist, dass es einen Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage gibt, da es im näheren Umfeld keine freien Parkplätze gibt! Vielleicht wichtig zu wissen: Die Wohnung ist nur bedingt geeignet für gehbehinderte Menschen: Wohnung liegt im 2. OG und es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl (für uns kein Problem). Und für die Dusche muss man in die Badewanne steigen. War auch kein Problem. Wir kommen gerrne wieder!

Wonderful apartment in a great location

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is within walking distance to shops, the Christmas market, and historical sites. Very clean and comfortable. Helpful information and brochures are provided for guests. The parking garage and washing machine/dryer are great amenities too.

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung Triers

Die nur wenige hundert Meter von der Altstadt entfernte Wohnung bietet alles, was man für einen kürzeren oder längeren Aufenthalt benötigt. Vom Dosenöffner bis zum Wäschetrockner ist alles vorhanden. In dem sehr sauberen und nett eingerichteten Appartment fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Dazu trägt auch der freundliche Empfang sowie der äußerst nette und fürsorgliche Kontakt mit dem Vermieter bei. Bereits vor Reiseantritt wurden wir per Mail mit Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants versorgt. In der Wohnung liegt zusätzlich umfassendes Infomaterial aus. Der Tiefgaragenstellplatz mit direktem Zugang zum Haus erspart Parkplatzprobleme. Die Lage der Wohnung gestattet es, für die Erkundung Triers aufs Auto verzichten zu können. Altstadt mit Dom und Basilika sind ebenso zu Fuß erreichbar wie die Thermen und das Amphitheater. Für Cineasten liegt das kleine "Broadway"-Kino ebenfalls nur wenige Schritte entfernt, das auch Filme jenseits des Mainstream zeigt. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft absolut zu empfehlen. Wir waren uneingeschränkt zufrieden. Man sollte sich aber bewusst sein, dass man ein Treppenhaus bis ins vierte OG erklimmen muss.
