We stayed here with three adults and two children (ages 3 and 6), and the biggest highlight was the location. It truly couldn't be better. We were able to walk into downtown Bar Harbor in about 15 minutes, and Acadia National Park was less than a five-minute drive away. Having such easy access to both town and the park made our trip incredibly convenient. That said, the property could benefit from some updates and a more thorough deep cleaning. Several closet and bathroom doors were damaged, and some dresser drawers were broken. We were also surprised that a number of standard vacation rental amenities were missing, including hand soap, hair dryers, and many basic kitchen supplies, which made meal preparation difficult.A few other things future guests may want to know: the only air conditioning unit is in the living room, so bedrooms can get warm, and there are no blackout curtains or blinds. In the summer, when the sun rises around 4–5 a.m., that made for some very early wake-ups, especially with young children. With some repairs, better stocking of essentials, and a good deep clean, this would easily be higher rated property because the location really is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay overall and hope these improvements are made so future guests can fully enjoy everything this great location has to offer.
