This Maine Vacation Home is located on Moose River in Rockwood, Maine, and comes with the use of a private dock at the location. You will be a half-mile from Moosehead Lake via the river and under two miles by car. Whether you have come to hike, golf, boat, fish, hunt, ski, ATV, or snowmobile, it's all outside the door with direct access to ITS-66 from the backyard. Guests can partake in swimming, boating, ice fishing, and even a moose safari! Hiking Maine mountains on the Appalachian Trail, fly-fishing at East Outlet, and swimming in Moosehead Lake and Upper and Lower Wilson Pond are all great options as well. Winter at Moosehead Lake abounds with opportunities for ice fishing, downhill skiing at Big Squaw Mountain (16 miles from the home), and even snowmobiling - come during early spring and you'll be able to watch the Wilderness Sled Dog Race!
