Overall, we had a great vacation and really enjoyed the pool, dock, and comfortable beds. The management company was excellent—very responsive and quick to bring us frying pans, new cookie sheets, and oven mitts when we let them know they were missing. That said, for 2,000 for six nights, we expected the home to be a little more guest-ready. When we arrived, the dishwasher still needed to be emptied, and the towels were left damp in the dryer, so we had to rewash them. We also found a broken beach umbrella, broken nightlights, a broken remote for the outdoor fan, no broom or dustpan, dried-out Swiffer pads, no measuring cups or spoons, propane that had to be connected each time the grill was used, and spider webs around some of the plants and light fixtures. The day before checkout, the dryer stopped working. We appreciated that the management company offered to have our laundry washed, but with a family of six packing to leave, we ended up taking home bags of wet clothes.None of these issues ruined our stay, but they did add up. With more proactive maintenance and attention to detail from the owner, this would easily be an outstanding rental.
