If you come via the M8, then stay on the motorway and head for Erskine Bridge. Go over the bridge and take the exit for Loch Lomond/Crianlarich. You will then merge onto the A82. Stay on that and follow the signs for Loch Lomond. As you drive along beside Loch Lomond, you will reach the small village of Tarbet - take the right exit for Crianlarich. Carry on up to the very head of Loch Lomond to Crianlarich. At the roundabout as you come into Crianlarich, take the 2nd exit for the village/Killin. Follow the road down until you reach a 'T' junction - turn right towards Killin. Approximately 2 miles out of Crianlarich is the farmhouse (it is straight after the entrance to the Portnellan Chalet site). Turn right and drive up the driveway to park at the back of the house.
If you take the M9, then come off at Junction 10 and take the A84 for Stirling/Callander/Crianlarich. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A84. Same again, at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on the A84. Continue on to A85 for Crianlarich. As you come through Glen Dochart on the A85, look out for Portnellan - the farmhouse is on the left.
The central heating and hot water are on constant so you can control the heating to suit your needs by turning each individual radiator to required setting via the dial on the bottom end side of the radiators. Please turn to number 1 when vacating the property. If you require further hot water, we have a booster control in the kitchen.
If you should turn the cooker off at the wall in mistake. Please switch back on and press all the over button at the same time to bring the clock back on. The cooker will then work once the clock is on.
The wifi router is located in the kitchen and you will find the password on the back of the router and on the kitchen wall.
There is a small Londis store for essentials in Crianlarich and a larger Co-Op store in Killin (approximately 15 minutes’ drive away). The Co Op store will be open until 10pm
We have a private water fall, just go through the gate at the rear of the property. If you wish a lovely walk on Benmore, walk to the bottom of the drive and turn right, about 50 meters you will see a kissing gate that leads to the many paths for Benmore. If you have a dog with you, please ensure you put it on the leash if you see sheep in the area where you are walking.
I would be grateful if you could give me a call on your arrival so that I may pop over to introduce myself and welcome you.
I do hope you have a safe journey up and enjoy your stay.
