The Space:
Enchanting cabin retreat with hot tub & fire pit tucked away in the heart of Lake Toxaway on the 18th
Hole!
Enjoy a comfy retreat in this trilevel cabin on a peaceful, private, wooded lot tucked away in the
beautiful Lake Toxaway community. Brimming with rustic elegance, this home was renovated in 2024 with
high-end furnishings and fixtures galore.
The main level offers a beautiful open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, and a cozy, updated kitchen
outfitted for a chef! The Great Room on the main level has a sectional sofa, two plush swivel chairs, 55”
TV with Roku Soundbar, two Sonos bluetooth speakers, and a bar cabinet outfitted to entertain. The open
kitchen features granite countertops. This room also includes a dining table with bench seating that seats
8-10 people. From the Great Room, access the expansive covered deck with enough seating for the
entire family to enjoy the lush forest views on the 18th hole of the golf course with mountain views in the
distance. There is a Napoleon gas grill on the deck for the chef in the family!
The main level is at driveway level, meaning two bedrooms, the full bathroom, kitchen, Great Room, and
covered back deck are all accessible without stairs — making this a family-friendly option for guests
traveling with elderly parents or anyone with mobility issues.
The main level has two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. There is a full
bathroom on the main floor with a tub/shower combo. Upstairs offers two additional bedrooms - one with
a king bed (considered the master bedroom) and the other with a queen bed. There is a full bathroom on
this upper floor with a tub/shower combo for these two bedrooms to share. There is ample closet space in
each bedroom.
The downstairs bonus room is the perfect hideout for the kids to take over with a queen bed and two twin
beds or another small family to have privacy. The bonus room has a large sleeper sofa, queen bed and
two twin beds, and 50” TV with Roku Soundbar, large closet, as well as a full bathroom. There is a large
utility room on the downstairs level with a Maytag washer and dryer and a second refrigerator to store any
overflow from the kitchen refrigerator. A Pac-n-Play and highchair are stored in the utility room for guests
use.
From the downstairs, there is access to a covered flagstone patio with a 6-7 person Sundance hot tub, a
fire pit just off the patio, and various outdoor landscaped spaces in the backyard to enjoy nature. Follow
the landscaped footpath down from the patio area where you will find a terraced seating area with 8
Adirondack chairs and another firepit area. The back side of the home is west-facing with a gorgeous
sunset exposure. Dancing Bear Cabin features the perfect layout for multiple families to come together
and enjoy the enchanting beauty of the area.
Lake Toxaway is a thriving community that offers stunning lake views, easy access to Gorges State Park
hikes, and a marina to rent pontoons, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, skis, tubes, and toys. The cabin is
in a prime location on the golf course with a meandering footpath through the back yard down to the 18th
hole. It’s less than 2 minutes from the marina and the highly acclaimed Greystone Inn which features a
world class restaurant overlooking the lake and a fabulous bar at the Inn.
Heading west from Lake Toxaway, Ski Sapphire Valley is 24 minutes away and a great place for kids to
learn to ski or snowboard, and even snow tubing during their ski season and zip lining is offered during
the summer. The charming village of Cashiers is 28 minutes away just on the other side of Sapphire
Valley with cute shops, restaurants, Cashiers Farmer’s Market, Ingles, our favorite Native Prime
Provisions, and the beautiful Village Green Park. Highlands is an easy day trip located 45 minutes away
just past Cashiers and well worth the hike.
Heading east from Lake Toxaway, the historic town of Brevard is only 30 minutes away where you’ll find
many more shops, art galleries, restaurants, movie theater and more. Downtown Asheville is just over an
hour away. The Asheville Regional airport is an easy 55 minutes away!

Kitchen was well equipped with quality everything. The house was clean and its layout perfect for 11. Furnishings were like new and beds very comfortable.
The home was beautiful and spacious. We were there for our daughter's wedding at the Greystone Inn and it was so conveniently located. After the wedding, it was so nice to relax by the fireplace!

Perfect place for a large family or two smaller families. It was summer so we didn't use the multiple fire pits and large hot tub but will return in the fall and take advantage then. Very spacious, yet cozy at the same time. Can't miss rental.

Vacasa ruined our vacation
The home was lovely and a lovely community. We had so many problems with Vacasa. I don’t feel most of the issues were the fault of the homeowner but all of the fault of Vacasa.

Cannot wait to come back!
Where do I start? From walking in the front door and immediately feeling like I was in the most welcoming and charming home ever, to the gorgeous scenery and environment, I just don’t know where to start! we were definitely charmed by the tasteful and classy decor, and enchanted by the homey feeling!
Although the home itself was lovely, the property management company ruined most of our vacation.they told us before booking that we had lake access to swim in the lake, but this was incorrect. We would not have booked this home if we knew that. The home was not clean or ready for us upon arrival at the listed check-in time. The Septic tank started to overflow and needed to be pumped. I had to find a company to come quickly on my own.Golf cart that we paid for broke down on the side of the mountain road. We were given inaccurate pieces of information by host before arriving. Terrible customer service and poor communication. There were other issues , too many to list here.I don’t blame the homeowners, but I do blame the company . With proper management this home could be the perfect rental property, but do be aware there is no lake access except for the cute little marina where you can rent boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. We did make the best of our time here, even though a lot of the time was spent dealing with issues that we had to handle ourselves because they couldn’t help us. Positives: home is a good size that fit our family perfectly. Lake Toxaway country club is very pretty. The home is nicely stocked with top of the line kitchen items. The golf cart was nice to have while it worked. My negative review is not about the home itself, but about the management company and our terrible experience with them. I gave them a chance to rectify but they didn’t.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry to see that your experience didn’t meet expectations. Compensation was provided for the inconvenience caused. We remain committed to delivering a positive and reliable experience for all future visitors.
