About this property

Arkansas Grand Canyon View From Observation Deck

Perched directly on the rim of the Arkansas Grand Canyon, Above The Fog is not just a cabin—it is a front-row seat to one of the most breathtaking views in the Ozarks. Most visitors stop for a few minutes at a roadside overlook and leave. Here, the view belongs to you from sunrise to starlight.

Wake each morning to rolling clouds drifting through the valley below, creating the feeling that you're floating above the world. On many mornings, the canyon disappears beneath a sea of white fog while the mountain peaks rise through the clouds like islands in the sky. It is a rare and unforgettable sight that few people ever experience.

The true centerpiece of this retreat is the private observation deck. Designed to capture every inch of the panoramic canyon view, it offers a place to sip coffee as the sun rises across the endless ridges, share a bottle of wine beneath a painted sunset, or simply sit together in complete silence while taking in the vast beauty before you. The view stretches for miles across the Ozark Mountains, creating a sense of peace and wonder that photographs simply cannot capture. The Arkansas Grand Canyon is known for its sweeping vistas and dramatic elevation changes that make it one of the most spectacular overlooks in the state.

As evening falls, watch the mountains transform into layers of blue and gold while the sky erupts with color. Later, the stars emerge above the canyon, creating a romantic atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life.

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, planning a romantic getaway, or simply searching for a place that will leave you speechless, Above The Fog offers something incredibly rare—a chance to live on the edge of one of Arkansas's most stunning natural wonders and experience the beauty of the canyon from your own private sanctuary.

This isn't just a cabin with a view.

It's a place where you'll remember exactly how the clouds looked, how the mountains felt endless, and how time seemed to stand still.

It's a lovely cabin with incredible views. Plus we loved having a yard for the kids run and play.

We created Above The Fog to give guests more than just a place to stay — we wanted to create an experience people never forget.

The moment we first stood on this canyon rim and watched the clouds roll beneath the mountains, we knew it was something rare. There is something deeply peaceful about sitting high above the Arkansas Grand Canyon while the fog drifts through the valley below and the sun rises over endless layers of mountains.

We designed this cabin to slow people down and reconnect them with what matters most. From the private observation deck to the panoramic views from nearly every angle, every detail was created so guests could fully experience the beauty surrounding them.

Whether you are celebrating an anniversary, escaping the noise of everyday life, or simply wanting to wake up somewhere breathtaking, our hope is that Above The Fog becomes a place where memories are made, conversations linger longer, and time feels slower.

Some places are visited.
Others are felt long after you leave.

Why they chose this property

Above The Fog offers something incredibly rare — a luxury mountain retreat sitting directly on the rim of the Arkansas Grand Canyon with panoramic views that feel endless.
The highlight of the property is the private observation deck overlooking the canyon. Guests can enjoy morning coffee above rolling clouds, peaceful afternoons watching the changing mountain landscape, and unforgettable sunsets that paint the Ozarks in layers of gold, pink, and blue. On foggy mornings, the valley below disappears beneath the clouds, creating the feeling of floating above the world. The cabin was thoughtfully designed to create a warm and romantic atmosphere that complements the breathtaking surroundings. Large windows frame the mountains from inside the cabin, allowing nature to become part of the experience no matter the season. What makes this location even more special is its proximity to Jasper, Arkansas — one of the most loved small mountain towns in the Ozarks. Jasper offers guests a perfect mix of adventure, scenery, and small-town charm. Spend the day floating or kayaking the Buffalo National River, hiking scenic trails to waterfalls and overlooks, exploring local shops and restaurants, or taking one of the most beautiful drives in Arkansas through the Ozark Mountains.
Nearby guests can experience:
• The Buffalo National River
