Basic Apartment
The apartments are centrally located just a few minutes from train station, a Lidl, and central Catania. The beds are comfortable. The main larger apartment has nowhere to sit other than the beds or plastic chairs around the dining table in the kitchen area. The smaller apartment has a mezzanine level bed up some steep chairs with a sofa that seats 3 people and is the only non hard seating for 12 people. The terrace is basically a narrow landing at the top of the stairs up to the apartments it has 2 small round tables and 4 metal chairs this is the only outdoor space for up to 12 people. The listing says it has air-conditioning, but it’s not in all rooms the main apartment has one unit in the kitchen (1bedroom leads off the kitchen) and another in landing on the upper floor where 3 bedrooms lead off of. The smaller apartment has 2 units one downstairs and the mezzanine where the bed is. The showers a small cubicles the upstairs one in the main apartment is missing a door (the hosts says this is to give people more space!). This apartment is not suitable for people with mobility issues there are narrow steep stairs up from street level and inside both apartments. This is a cheap apartment, however, you get what you pay for and it’s very uncomfortable and not equipped to handle the number of guests it can accommodate.
