About this property
Ski Retreat + Indoor Heated Pool + Rec Center | Trails & Slopes | Twin Fawns
Set in the heart of the Adirondacks, Twin Fawns puts you right where you want to be for a mountain getaway — inside The Summit at Gore Mountain, with Gore's trails, slopes, and wide-open scenery practically at the door. Come for a ski weekend, a summer of hiking, a fall-foliage escape, or a long-overdue reset; it's the rare place that makes every season feel like the one you meant to book.
Inside, the three-bedroom townhome has an easy, updated feel — a soft neutral palette, a cozy lounge to sink into, and the kind of small, thoughtful touches that make you comfortable the minute you drop your bags. The kitchen comes fully equipped for simple meals, late-night snacks, and slow mornings before you head out, and the three bedrooms flex to fit the group: a queen, a pair of twins, and a twin-over-twin bunk that the kids (or the last ones to call a bed) tend to claim. Two and a half baths with shower-tub combos keep everyone moving on a busy morning.
The deck is where the day unwinds. Mountain views, comfortable outdoor seating, and a grill set the scene for a relaxed dinner and a cold drink in the fresh Adirondack air.
Around here, the outdoors runs year-round. Winter brings some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Upstate New York, with nearby Lake George throwing its beloved Winter Carnival every February. When the snow clears, the mountains open up for hiking and mountain biking, and by autumn the foliage turns spectacular — ride the gondola up Gore for a panoramic view of the Adirondacks lit up in color, or just step outside and let it unfold.
The Summit itself is a genuinely good place to come home to. The clubhouse and rec center has a heated indoor pool open daily from 9am to 9pm, plus a pool table, foosball, and room to spread out with your crew. Your townhome has its own wood-burning fireplace, and from Thanksgiving through March firewood is stocked right outside the door — so a fire's going the moment you walk in. When you'd rather not cook, Timber & Thyme is a mile up the road for a solid local dinner.
Albany International Airport sits about 90 minutes out, which makes Twin Fawns an easy escape from the city no matter the season.
AvantStay provides an upscale experience with services that elevate your stay and save time so you can enjoy every moment. Guests have access to a 24/7 support team and a tech-enabled concierge to book services, such as fridge stocking, mid-stay cleanings, and private chefs. The Adirondack region is one of the most naturally stunning corners of the entire East Coast — six million acres of protected wilderness, charming small towns, and a pace of life that has a way of reminding you what a real vacation feels like. North Creek sits at the heart of it all, a small but spirited town with deep roots in Adirondack culture and an authenticity that's increasingly rare. Browse the local shops, grab a meal at one of the area's beloved restaurants, or simply wander — North Creek has the kind of unhurried energy that makes it easy to settle in. Beyond the town itself, the greater Adirondack region offers everything from serene lake paddling and waterfall hikes to white-water rafting on the Hudson River Gorge, world-class fishing, and a thriving arts and culinary scene scattered across charming villages like Saratoga Springs, Lake Placid, and Lake George. Whether you're here to push your limits outdoors or simply slow down and breathe, the Adirondacks have a way of delivering exactly what you need.

The property was wonderful. The mattresses in the twin room weren't very comfortable but the rest of the house was great. There were portable air conditioners in every bedroom and in the living room. The water at the indoor pool at the club house was cold but the room downstairs with the pool table was a fun place to hang out. It is about 35 minutes from Lake George which is a fun place to go. Also it is about an hour and 10 minutes to Lake Placid but worth the trip. We had a wonderful week and would recommend Twin Fawns.

Thank you for the thoughtful review of Twin Fawns. We're glad the home was comfortable overall, and that the pool table room made for a fun place to gather. We've passed your note about the twin room mattresses to our team for review. We also appreciate you sharing the drive times to Lake George and Lake Placid, which future guests will find helpful when planning their trips. It's great to hear you had a wonderful week, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again.

Well after the first 15 minutes of being there we found multiple issues, Went to start putting food in the refrigerator and found that it was on how ever it was not cooling. Second thing we found is the microwave was not working either and I'm inclined to believe it has not worked for a while since there was an open bag of pop corn on the counter from the previous person that was not popped. The previous people that were that left a small amount of food there. After all that was said and done we checked out the rooms. The master bedroom had white blankets with 3 rather gross looking brown stains on them. We went at far as finding different sheets and changed the bedding. After getting settled in the first night we went to explore the pool and game room just to find that it was locked up and shut down so no one could use it, how ever it opened up a day later. Sauna was only open one day of are 3 day stay. Couple days in we went and looked for trash bags so we could change out the trash and found there to be dead decayed mouse in the cabinet with its skull left behind. There were multiple places around that house that needed attention as far as cleaning goes, another example would be a smashed smeared bee on the bad sliding door right at eye level. All in all the stay could have been better but could have been worse. I firmly believe that all these issues could be resolved if someone took half a day and did some cleaning and repairs / new appliances for the ones that don't work

We appreciate you sharing this feedback, and we're sorry the home wasn't ready to the standard we aim for at arrival. Our local team visited during your stay to address the refrigerator and remained available throughout in case anything further came up. The cleanliness concerns you raised have been shared with the team responsible for the home, and a deep clean has been scheduled. We also understand the disappointment of finding some shared amenities temporarily closed for maintenance during part of your visit. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, and should you consider staying with us again, we'd welcome the chance to provide a better experience.
