Clean and kept. Very comfortable place to stay. I liked being within walking distance of downtown. I didn't like streetside parking in this crammed neighborhood. I parked a few blocks from house. Even with this inconvenience, this is a good value for the price. Thanks for a great stay.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The listing itself was accurate, but unfortunately this property and the surrounding area were not a good fit for us. The house felt more old than charming—worn/stained carpeting and a very soft, older mattress, for example—but our primary concern was the neighborhood. From the kitchen we looked across the alley at a discarded mattress and a car without license plates, and there was a small homeless encampment a couple of blocks away. Street parking was also a significant issue; our first evening I spent 20–30 minutes driving around several surrounding blocks and could not find a legal space, ultimately parking in the vacant lot next door. We had chosen the location hoping to comfortably walk to nearby restaurants and explore the neighborhood, but my wife did not feel comfortable doing so. After our first night, we made the difficult decision to forfeit the remainder of our stay and rent another property. My advice to prospective guests is simply to research the immediate neighborhood and understand the street-parking situation to make sure both fit your expectations.
