Carport and two bikes. Whether you’re visiting in summer or winter, ac and heating keep you comfortable year-round.

Opal Retreat feels wonderfully secluded, yet it’s just minutes from town and Lake Hartwell. Spend your days exploring Hartwell Lakeside Park (only 10 minutes away), walking to nearby pickleball courts or the YMCA, or simply unwinding in a rocking chair surrounded by nature. Evenings are perfect for gathering around the fire circle under the stars.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put trash in outside trash receptacles
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No flames (candles, etc) in house/porches. Allow back porch grilling. If grilling, turn on propane to use and turn propane off when finished.
If using fire circle, remove lid and build small fire. Only use a few logs at a time. When finished, spread remaining wood in fire pit and cover w lid
No loud noises or fireworks on property.

The cozy cottage in the woods was actually very close to the town of Hartwell! It was so private with two porches to enjoy coffee and a meal. The house felt spacious and the rooms were so clean and comfortable! It's a great place for singles or a family! I will definitely stay there again!

Opal retreat owners had the property in great order. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself. The owners/ hosts were wonderful. They stayed available to be contacted if a problem arose and were willing to come out and take care of any issue..it was 5 stars for us
