The property feels wonderfully secluded while keeping Asheville and Weaverville within easy reach.

Before every arrival, the home is professionally cleaned and carefully prepared by Celebrity Clean, a highly rated Asheville-based cleaning company.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home and more than 12 private acres, including the hot tub, smokeless fire pit, walking trails, mountain creek, private pond and surrounding grounds. A locked owner’s closet is the only private area.

Self check-in is available through a keypad. Guests are welcome to explore the property but should use caution on natural mountain terrain, particularly after rain. Children must be supervised near the creek and pond.

The retreat is tucked away in Weaverville’s peaceful Ballard Branch community, approximately 20 minutes from Asheville. Downtown Weaverville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, waterfalls, restaurants, breweries, fishing, rafting and live music are all within an easy drive.

A vehicle is recommended. The home is reached by a mountain road and private gravel driveway, with ample parking for multiple vehicles. Grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, outdoor recreation, downtown Weaverville and Asheville are all conveniently accessible, giving guests privacy without feeling remote.

This is a true mountain property with natural terrain, abundant wildlife, a flowing creek and a private pond. Sturdy footwear is recommended when exploring, and children must always be supervised near the water. Well-behaved pets are welcome with prior approval. Because black bears are active in the area, all trash must be stored in the designated indoor location. Instructions are provided in the house manual.

Self check-in allows guests to arrive and settle in at their convenience. We respect your privacy but remain readily available by phone or message whenever needed. Trusted local help is also nearby should anything require attention during your stay.

Host profile image

My wife and I first fell in love with this area when we purchased the neighboring property as our vacation home in 2020. Over the years, we came to appreciate not only the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but also the peace and privacy that make this area so special.

When our neighbors decided it was time to sell, they asked if we'd be interested in purchasing their property. After spending years admiring the land, we simply couldn't say no.

We've been thoughtfully transforming it into the kind of mountain retreat we'd want to experience ourselves. Every improvement has been made with our own family and our future guests in mind. Our goal is to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories together.

Why they chose this property

This part of Weaverville offers something that's becoming increasingly difficult to find: complete privacy without sacrificing convenience. Surrounded by mature forest, mountain creeks, and beautiful Blue Ridge scenery, it feels wonderfully secluded while remaining just minutes from downtown Weaverville and an easy drive to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, breweries, and countless local restaurants.

Whether you're exploring the area or simply enjoying a quiet morning on the property, it's the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.

What makes this property unique

The property itself is what makes this retreat so special. Guests are free to explore more than 12 private acres featuring a naturally flowing mountain creek, private pond, towering hardwoods, open meadows, and beautiful Blue Ridge views. It's a setting that's increasingly rare this close to Asheville.

Inside, we've furnished the home with handcrafted furniture, hotel-quality mattresses and linens, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable gathering spaces designed for families and friends. Outside, enjoy the hot tub, smokeless fire pit, outdoor dining, and the kind of peace and quiet that makes you want to stay just one more day.
