This caning was a great base to explore the town and the mountains. The cabin seemed very private.

Everything! The host was exceptional with communication, directions and local highlights. The home was very clean and well appointed with everything we could want. Sitting in the back porch was so peaceful with the stream and we loved the fireplace. There was lots of room to move around and would be perfect for 2 couples. The location was GREAT! I was concerned that it wasn’t closer to the city, but it was only a 20minute ride or so. And, that let us explore some things we may not have if we stayed right in town.

Excellent property in a quiet, off the beaten path location in the WNC mountains. Nature all around with a running creek, visiting turkeys, and frequent visits by pipevine swallowtail butterflies. Relaxing country home with front porch and a back deck overlooking the creek, the forest, and the fire pit.

Great wooded cabin - bring your water dogs!!!

We loved this Weaverville getaway. Our dogs splashed in the creek as we sat on the porch enjoying the cool weather and sylvan serenity. The location is great - 10 minutes to Weaverville, 20-25 to Asheville. It is also easy to a range of trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely be coming back.

The house was clean enough on the inside but more attention needs to be given to the windows (smeared, not well cleaned, lots of spider webs) and ceiling corners (spider webs). Being that we visited in November, we were looking forward to the gas fireplace but the propane tank was empty and after I notified the host, I was told it would not be filled until after we left. I was also told there would be a starter bundle of wood for the fire pit but none was there. I contacted the host and was told they don’t provide starter bundles of firewood, therefore, I sent them a screenshot of the message I got stating otherwise. That afternoon four bundles were delivered! Yay! The kitchen was well-appointed with nice appliances. The cookware, dishes, glassware and bath and kitchen towels were new! My dog loved the creek! The deck and view were wonderful! My friend and I loved Weaverville. We had great food and I left with a couple of pottery pieces. I’d love to go back!!

Family Christmas Get Away

The drive to the house quickly reminded me of the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The determination and perseverance of the locals was evident in the clean up efforts. Once at the home, I felt like i had reached my oasis. The home, still showing slight damage from the storm, was standing strong and welcoming. Once inside the views of the outside flowed in through the large windows. The home drew you into her warmth and openness. Everything was very updated and well appointed. The home is perfect for two couples and allowing for privacy. The creek outside and firepit are perfect for the ones who love the outdoors. I hope to have the opportunity to return here in thy spring to honor my mom's wish of seeing the rodis in bloom.
