This was listed as a downstairs apartment, which made us think it was a basement unit, with short ceilings and no windows. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that it was on the ground floor. We were also impressed with the work someone had put in to make this comfortable, functional, and clean. The neighborhood IS quiet, as advertised, but not pretty. We didn't care, because we just wanted (and found) a quiet, clean, roomy place to sleep. They don't have central HVAC, but the two window AC units will leave you shivering if you crank them up full blast.Nice touches include tea, coffee, full assortment of dinnerware and cookware. There are some funky things, including a sliding "barn door" for the bathroom, and a little mini-entry lobby with a front door and another front door. But those funky things were practical and efficient - we loved them.Lots of sleeping room, with a king bed in one room and a queen bed in the other. Big, comfortable leather'ish couch if a fifth person needed to crash with you. At less than 200 a night, this is twice the space and charm, at half the cost of a hotel.WELL DONE HOST!
