Holiday at the “Elly” Holiday Rental Welcome to the North Sea Spa Town of Esens-Bensersiel
The house housing the “Elly” holiday rental is located right in the heart of the old town of Esens in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, and truly. The North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the beach are just four kilometres away and are located directly within the unique natural wonder that is the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.
The holiday rental is located in the heart of the beautiful old knight’s town of Esens, with excellent transport connections by car or bicycle to the nearby North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the nearby North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel. You’ll be staying just a few metres from Esens’ beautiful pedestrian zone.
The “Elly” holiday rental is ideal for a cosy North Sea holiday for 2 to 4 people, including a toddler. The apartment is warmly designed and furnished, very cosy, and well-equipped. In its approximately 40 square metres, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing holiday, such as a small but fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher.
From the “Elly” holiday rental, it’s just a few metres to the pedestrian zone, “Steinstraße,” and to the market square of Esens, known as the “City of Bears.” There you’ll find lovely shops for a leisurely shopping stroll, as well as plenty to browse and marvel at. There’s a wide variety of dining options, including cafes and restaurants, both indoors and outdoors.
We’d be happy to tell you all about the attractions of our cosy and charming town of Esens—which is over 475 years old and features a historic town centre—and, of course, the “highlights” of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. For example, we also have plenty of events—both big and small—and museums. Or you can simply enjoy some peace and quiet on your balcony.
For example, head north by bike across the idyllic East Frisian marshlands and, if you prefer, along the “Benser Tief” to Bensersiel. This way, you’ll reach the beach at a leisurely pace and feeling refreshed.
Of course, you can also get there in just a few minutes by car, but by bike—depending on the route you choose—you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel in about 4 to 6 kilometres in a state of complete relaxation, having already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air, and you’ll be able to especially enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and holiday facilities.
Our location is ideal for long walks, bike tours, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing holiday on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
By car, you can reach Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both of these coastal villages and North Sea health resorts by bus.
The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
Soak up the sun or explore the beautiful surroundings of Esens-Bensersiel and the vast expanse of East Frisia by bike. In Bensersiel, visit the “Nordseetherme Bensersiel” water park, a modern, heated fun and leisure pool. It also houses all spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness centre. Or head to the beach to explore the new beach complex featuring “Bennis Abenteuerland”—a covered beach area for children—as well as the maritime sports theme park and the seawater outdoor pool with a giant water slide.
Go for a hike along the dike or in the unique “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.
Take day trips to the East Frisian Islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights.
