Unfortunately, I was not comfortable staying at this property and left shortly after arriving.The designated parking appeared to be street parking alongside the property rather than a secured or private parking area. There were several people and vehicles around the immediate area when I arrived, and as a woman traveling alone, I did not feel comfortable leaving my vehicle there or coming and going from the property by myself.I did briefly enter the apartment. It appeared generally clean, but the furnishings were very basic, older, and mismatched, and the apartment felt more minimally equipped than I expected based on the listing.My biggest concern was that the door leading to the balcony overlooking the street was unlocked when I entered the apartment. Because I had just arrived and did not know how long the door had been left unsecured, this made me very uncomfortable about the security of the property. I did not feel comfortable remaining there alone.I left shortly after arriving and made other accommodations for my stay. I contacted the host and VRBO immediately to explain my concerns.This was simply not a property where I personally felt comfortable or secure staying as a solo traveler, and I think future guests-particularly those traveling alone-should be aware of the street-parking situation and my experience finding the balcony door unlocked upon arrival.
