About this property

Large 2-bed 2-bath ground-floor apartment; communal pool, close to village/beach

Situated in the Mato Serrao part of Carvoeiro, just 1.5 km north west of the picturesque and highly popular resort centre, Vila Nova is an attractive, well maintained, low rise collection of thirty six apartments built in the older, more traditional Portuguese style.

Our apartment is ground floor and has a spacious living/dining room with private WiFi, Smart TV & DVD player (small selection of DVDs), and small book library.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, open plan lounge/diner and two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and ensuite shower room with walk-in shower. The twin bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower. A cot and high chair are available. The living room has a wood-burning stove for the cooler winter months.

At the rear of the apartment is an enclosed private courtyard with patio furniture, sunbeds & BBQ.

To the front of the apartment is an informal enclosed area with dining table and chairs.

Outside at the front is a small patio with outdoor table and chairs.

Ideal for family holidays, Vila Nova has a grassy children's play area, a large communal swimming pool (unheated) with sunbeds and sun shades, plus a kids paddling pool, restaurant & snack bar, mini-market and reception. Vila Nova offers free guest WiFi around the pool. The Vila Nova restaurant on the complex is excellent and reputed for its fresh fish (note the restaurant closes during the winter months and is closed on Sundays).

* PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE: so please ensure you have your holiday insurance in place before booking in the unlikely event that you may need to cancel your holiday.

* SECURITY OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS: We do not accept any responsibility for the safety of guests' personal belongings. A safe is provided in each of the bedrooms for guest use. Please ensure your holiday (or other) insurance will cover your personal items in the event of loss or damage.

* ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING: We do not permit charging of electric vehicles from the apartment. If you are driving an electric vehicle, please check with Reception for location of the nearest EV charging points.

* MUNICIPAL TOURIST TAX: the local Tourist Tax is payable on arrival in EUR cash to Reception. The Tourist Tax is charged per person per night for everyone age 13 years or over:

1 April - 31 October: 2 EUR per person per night (to max 14 EUR per person, per stay)
1 November - 31 March: 1 EUR per person per night (to max 7 EUR per person, per stay)

* WINTER BOOKINGS (DECEMBER - MARCH): an additional fee will be charged for gas & electricity used during your stay, payable in EUR cash to Vila Nova reception on your departure.

* EXIT CLEANING FEE: an additional fee of EUR 50 has been added to your booking fee to cover departure change-over cleaning.
