The “Fahr am Main” holiday home, idyllically situated on the outskirts of the wine-growing village of Volkach-Fahr, in close proximity to the Main River, a swimming lake, and the stunning Main Cycle Path, invites you to explore the Main River Loop and its enchanting wine-growing landscape. The beautiful landscape, the Main River and the vineyards, romantic wine-growing villages, art and culture, as well as significant historical monuments are all waiting to be discovered: Welcome to “Bavarian Tuscany.” Numerous wineries (tasting rooms/wine tastings) offer their wines, and four Franconian inns will treat you to typical Franconian dishes. You’ll find plenty of shopping options, supermarkets, a hospital, doctors, pharmacies, small shops, and cafés, as well as restaurants and wine shops in nearby Volkach. You can reach Volkach by bike in about 15 minutes. Regular ferry service across the Main River: You can reach Würzburg by car in 20 minutes. Seasonally, the Mainschleifenbahn runs from Volkach to Seligenstadt: ride through the vineyards in a historic panoramic car. Connection to Würzburg Central Station.
