Ocean Palms Villa's End unit Sanibel Villa in Port Royal Village

The Ocean Palms Villas are located in Port Royal close to the award-winning, oceanfront Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa which operates the Ocean Palm Villas. Your check-in begins at the Westin Hotel where you have access to heated covered pool and fitness facilities.
2-bedroom, 2-bathroom. Both bathrooms were completely renovated in a Nov 2022. A Large walk in shower was installed in the master ensuite to change from a whirlpool tub. The 1350 sq ft end unit Villa is on the upper level. Guest bedrooms have one king bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds (default set up) in the second bedroom which can be put together and configured as a king bed by the guests (or by Villa Services staff for a fee). Pull out sofa in living room converts to double bed. Linen & towels provided. Free WiFi and washer/dryer in Villa.

The full kitchen is equipped with dinnerware, cook-ware, utensils, a microwave, a full sized stove & fridge & a dishwasher.

Two swimming pools in Ocean Palms, one of which is directly opposite our unit. Guests are also permitted to use the facilities (Gym, outdoor whirlpool and covered heated outdoor pool) at the oceanfront Westin Resort. Beach access at the Westin is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive/shuttle away. Extensive bike paths all around the island. Bike rental companies will deliver and pick up the bikes.

Guests can also enjoy daily golf for up to 4 people on one of two Port Royal Golf Courses.....Barony and Robber's Row. Each player only pays the cart fee. Reduced rates may be available at other courses which are part of the Heritage Collection.

Cleaning and Admin fee currently US$269.54 (including tax, subject to change each year ) is payable to Westin by guests on departure

One free hour of tennis court / pickleball time daily!

Ocean Palms

Nice complex and condo, couple things that I would change is the kitchen appliances to stainless steel and got rid of all the 1970's mirrors. The owners were great.

Absolutely Great

This was our first extended stay at Hilton Head Ocean Palms and we were extremely happy. The unit was exactly as advertised, very clean, modern and comfortable. The relationship with the Westin also is a big plus, we played all three golf courses, used the exersize facility, heated pool and great beach access. Great views everywhere.

Heartbreaking

We come to HHI every year and typically stay at Ocean Palms every other year. I have always had great experiences with the owners. This year Hurricane Debbie hit HHI twice during the week of our scheduled stay. 23 hours after arrival, we made the heartbreaking decision to leave the island due to many factors - our safety being the most important - but the Westin had closed their pools the night we arrived, the beaches closed the next morning for the whole week and the restaurants began closing as flooding began. The staff at the condo's removed all outdoor furniture, we knew it was going to get bad. I immediately reached out to VRBO asking for a refund or credit and the owner said he was busy and there was nothing he could do. Any amount would have been gracious considering this was out of our control. VRBO would not refund either stating this was out of their covered area, so insurance wouldn't have mattered. I would advise selecting a different property owner who cares about the safety of their guests. Plus these condo's are pretty outdated now. We will be staying in Sea Pines going forward.

Great Condo - Great Location - Great Hosts

My family and I enjoyed the accommodations very much! We were only in town for a weekend away, but would love to return to this property for a more extended trip since we didn’t have much time to experience all of the amenities available to us. The property was clean and inviting, everything in working order, and all of our needs were met. The beds were very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the stereo in the living room where my daughters had a dance party one evening. The owners were amazing with communication when I had a question prior to booking and followed through with the resort to ensure our check-in went smoothly. Definitely 5 stars all around!

Exceeded expectations!

LOVED staying here! From the get-go, the experience was fabulous as the owners were very clear, responsive, and helpful with communications. When we arrived, we were surprised at the spaciousness of the unit. The photos online showed lots of mirrors in the living area, which I took to mean that it would be a small place trying to look big. But, no, we had more than enough space for the five of us. And it was very bright and airy. The beds were very comfortable (even the sleeper sofa was fine!). Ample towels were provided and the kitchen was well stocked (though we brought our own knives cuz we’re kinda “knife snobs” 😊). Everything was very clean and in good working order. Loved the access to the pools and beach at the Westin (that’s why we chose Ocean Palms). We biked or walked there every day. And enjoyed a bit of golf too (only had to pay the cart fee, which was pricey but not unexpectedly-so).

Excellent Rental

The condo itself was great! It was much more spacious than I expected it to be. The area was very quiet and tranquil as you over look a pond. We have never stayed at a condo that was not right on the ocean, but it was no problem at all for us. There is a transport bus that will pick you up and take you back from the Westin. You may have to wait a few minutes for it, but hey, you are on vacation, so no hurries. The amenities were great. My son and I took advantage of the golfing 3 times.

Great Vacation!

This was our first vacation in Hilton Head and we can't say enough great things about the Island or this Unit. The owners were extremely helpful in renting the unit and also answered additional questions we had concerning our vacation week- they were genuinely easy to work with. When you rent a vacation condo you really are rolling the dice whether or not the place will be well maintained and in a good location. This unit went beyond our expectations...it was clean and well kept and spacious. While the complex as a whole seems crowded, the location of this unit does not make you feel that way. The screened in porch faces the lagoon where we watched alligators swim and eat breakfast nearly every morning. The pool is located right across the parking lot which is so convenient. We rented bikes for the week and rode them over to Westin resort (only a 5 min ride) for beach and more pool access but there is a shuttle service that we used a couple to days that is fast and friendly. There are racquet/tennis courts and a golf course available if you are into that sort of thing- we aren't, so I can't give any review on those places. We rode bikes all over the island, swam, went to the beach, ate wonderful food and had a marvelous time! If you have never been to Hilton Head, go and stay here...you will not be disappointed. O! and go eat at A Lowcountry Backyard...best place on the island!
