This cosy attic apartment was renovated in late 2024 and is furnished in a country-style. The light-colored walls and white interior doors create a pleasant living atmosphere, as do the two spacious casement windows in the living-dining area.
The apartment door opens directly into the cosy room that serves as the living, dining, and sleeping area. This room features a fully equipped kitchenette (refrigerator with freezer compartment—microwave—ceramic cooktop with oven—coffee maker—toaster—blender—egg cooker) and a dining area.
The living area is also located here, featuring a cosy seating area, a TV (with Blu-ray player), a stereo system, and a chest of drawers. Wi-Fi with guest access (for browsing and email) is available free of charge.
The sleeping area includes a large wardrobe and a double bed (2 mattresses: 90 x 200 cm).
The sleeping area leads to the naturally lit bathroom with a shower. A mirror, a sink, and a wall cabinet for storing your personal items round out the comfortable atmosphere in the bathroom.
The closet in the entryway contains various cleaning supplies (broom, vacuum cleaner, etc.) as well as an iron and an ironing board, which are available for your use—along with the guests of the other two holiday apartments.
In this cabinet, you’ll also find a first-aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
In the garden area reserved exclusively for guests (currently under construction) to the right of the main entrance, you’ll find a covered patio (facing southwest). You can use the garden furniture provided there to enjoy the sun on relaxing days and evenings, or to have a lovely barbecue.

A parking space is available free of charge directly at the accommodation (access via the street “Zur Hauener Hooge”).
A lockable bike shed with a power outlet is currently in the planning stages

The outdoor area is currently still under construction!
The “Stillhörn 3” holiday rental (approx. 35 m² / 2 people), lovingly furnished in a country house style, is located in a quiet area of Greetsiel near the dike.
It’s about a 5- to 10-minute walk to the centre of Greetsiel, with its romantic harbour (home to East Frisia’s largest fleet of fishing boats), various restaurants, cafés, ice cream shops, and plenty of shopping options. From there, you can reach the famous twin windmills of Greetsiel and the extensive network of canals—which is perfect for short boat trips—in just a few minutes. Also in the centre of Greetsiel is a large children’s playground with an adjacent mini-golf course, a beach volleyball court, and a ping-pong table for recreational activities. A small swimming lake and the dike are also within quick and easy walking distance.
The famous Pilsum Lighthouse (“Otto” Lighthouse, about 4 km) and the Leysiel Lock (about 7 km) are perfect for a leisurely hike or a relaxing bike ride along the dike. The Campen Lighthouse (at 65.30 m, the tallest lighthouse on the German mainland) is also easily accessible by bike via the dike.
Other nearby attractions and recreational activities include, for example, mudflat hikes to the islands, as well as the seal breeding station and the “Ocean Wave” water park in Norddeich. In Emden, you can visit the “Ottifant,” which peeks out of the “Otto Huus” (Otto Waalkes Museum) at the harbour. From the Emden harbour, you can also take a ferry to the island of Borkum several times a day.
Enjoy a drink in the beautiful old town of Aurich.
