About this property

Beach Front Home on Fogland Point with Panoramic Views

Stunning waterfront location on Fogland Point, just a 3 minute walk from Fogland Beach. Three bedrooms (one queen, one double, one single). Huge fieldstone fireplace. Open living room/dining room/kitchen with three couches in living room. This comfortable escape home is great for relaxing and entertaining. Huge wraparound deck faces the Sakonnet River. New windows, new stove, Sealy mattresses, 2 queen and 1 single/twin, all deep pockets.. Tile bath has full tub/shower. Also, have an outdoor shower which is great when you are returning from Fogland Beach.

Private rocky beach great for fishing and picnics, also a short 2 or 3 minute walk to the sandy, public Fogland Beach, for swimming, boat launching, and wind surfing. Lifeguard on duty seasonally. Beautiful sunsets from the deck. Gorgeous daylily garden, and the house is surrounded by blue and purple hydrangeas. Or take a walk and pick yourself a bouquet of wild beach roses.

Just a short ride to Newport. Eight minutes from historic Tiverton Four-Corners, with Gray's Ice Cream, Provender, antique stores, galleries, toy store, gift shops, designer clothing shops for adults and kids, cheese and pate shop, produce stands, book store, library, restaurant and more. Tour Sakonnet Vineyards, ten minutes away.

Homey local restaurants feature great home cooking and seafood specialties, like seafood chowder, lobster rolls, fried clams, clam cakes & home made pies. Fresh seafood markets, country stands, and garden centers in both Tiverton and neighboring Little Compton.

We had a new low water usage washer/dryer installed last summer.
Please note that we have a well, we are not supplied with town water. Water conservation is important in this fragile coastal environment. For example, please allow time between large uses of water consumption for the well to 're-charge'. If you take a shower, do dishes, and wash the car at the same time the well could run dry. We have not had the well run dry in 14 years, but it could happen if you overuse the well in a short period of time, so please be careful with water consumption.

Quintessential Northeast Beach House
My husband and I had a relaxing week on this lovely property. The house had everything we needed to enjoy the changeable early spring weather: a deck to sit out if the sun was out, a fireplace to warm us on chilly nights, and large windows for an amazing view of the spectacular sunsets on the water. We even got to see how Fogland got it's name when a bank of fog passed by on a perfectly sunny day. We got to see rabbits, a groundhog, seagulls, and robins. And we awoke to birdsong everyday. The house felt very isolated and quiet and, yet was a short walk to the beach or to town for restaurants and shopping. The owner was super helpful with information about the area and even made a special shopping trip to make sure everything was in top shape for their first renters of the season. It was a trip we won't forget.
