The house is spacious and the outdoor space/pool perfect for a large group. However, the cleanliness was not up to par with our expectations since there were cobwebs in the windows.

Beautiful home in Templeton

The property was clean, well kept, and well maintained. It was the perfect venue for our family to get together in to celebrate Thanksgiving. In spite of the horrible weather we experienced, we all had a wonderful time. The nearby wineries were great.

Great house for a group to relax

Our group of 4 adults and 2 children had a fantastic, relaxing time. The house is spacious and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out, so everyone gets the downtime they want. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and having a lovely spot to eat outdoors and have a fire at night. It really is a lovely spot, secluded but not too far away. Highly recommended!

Great Family Vacation Spot

You will love The Ranch! It is so much nicer than the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need, the master bedroom is wonderful, plenty of room for a group or family vacation, the two living spaces are perfect for individual needs, and the pool is terrific. There are pool floaties and plenty of seating. Our family had so much fun.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a great time. The layout of the house was perfect both for hanging out as a group, or getting some solo space. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We spent most of our time poolside, playing games, reading, listening to music, bbqing. Loved it.

Fabulous

Great property. 7 "mature" ladies: we really enjoyed our week there. Pool was wonderful. Hot tub had a bit too much chlorine but otherwise the property was impressive. Comfortable beds. Close to stores & great day trips to the coast.

California Wine Country Dreamin'

This was a beautiful, large house with pool and hot tube. It was clean and "high end". We loved it. We're not wine drinkers but the area had plenty to do. We went whale watching, deep sea fishing (in nearby Morro Bay), and golfed at the Hunter Ranch GC. A very good week with family.

Ranch House Vacation

A beautiful location that was close to amenities. Easy access from the freeway. The house is on a great property. The pool is amazing. Plenty of room for our family (6 Adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs ) and even more if needed. Pet friendly. We will definitely consider renting again in the future.

Pleasant Stay at The Ranch

The house is very clean, spacious and quite. It is much better and newer than that in photos. The location is convenient to all kinds of stores. It is also not too far from Pismo beach and Morro Bay. Our friends and my family had a good time staying there during Christmas break. Will consider to come back.

Beautiful place to unwind and relax!

We spent a fabulous birthday weekend at the ranch - the house accommodated 10 of us comfortably and the pool, jacuzzi, patios and view were amazing. The large and well-stocked kitchen was perfect for our private chef dinner and the dining table was just the right size. And to top it all off, the mama deer and her fawns who greeted us at sunset were as cute as could be. My guests enjoyed the weekend very much and we will be back!!

About the host

Hosted by Elizabeth McDonald

Host profile image
The owners are from the San Francisco Bay area and love San Luis Obispo county and all it has to offer to relax, recreate - the wine country, the beaches, golf, spas, art and agriculture.

Why they chose this property

This is a dream home, as romantic and serene as they come. Sit poolside and just lounge and read a book. Listen to the sounds of nature.

Meanwhile my favorite seaside towns are only a few minutes away.

What makes this property unique

Very peaceful get-away, serene setting such that you never have to leave. Go for a walk on the 5 acres, a swim in the pool, or just relax and take in the scenery and wildlife.
