About this property
Cabin on Dale Hollow Lake - Hike to lake
Situated approx. 100 yards from water on 5 acres at the end of a road. Very private. Hike to the lake, but only 1.3 miles to the highway and 10 miles to town. 2 miles to boat dock, plenty of land to enjoy. Trails to the lake for a ATV or a horse if you bring yours. The new swimming pool will be complete before April 2015 unless unforeseen circumstances show up. A new pool table is usable in the basement, basement has couches and walk out deck to back yard, along with two queen beds in one room and a complete bathroom. I recently added a fire pit down by the lake and left four chairs.
Dishes, silverware, bowls, coffee maker and cups, cooking pots and pans, blender, Crock pot, gas grill. Master Bedroom has King bed and Master bath, other two bedrooms on second floor are queen beds with bathroom between. All beds are new, Purchased 2/26/2014. Very clean and recently Painted. Screened in Deck on back of house facing Lake is 8' x 35'. Deck on front(8' x 35') and side and outside of finished basement(35' x 8' Deck) which faces lake. Small fire Place inside.
The county allows sale of Alcohol. Sunset Marina Cooks up a great steak and The River Grill serves up some good dinner and The Bobcat is good for breakfast. There are other eateries in Brydstown and is a 10 min drive from cabin. For those that like to eat very well, I recommend Craw Daddies in Cookeville and there is a very good Mexican eatery in Livingston, TN next to Food Lion.
The Marathon station has all the lures anyone could want if you plan to fish and need a few items. Live bait can be found at the Kwik Stop or at Sunset Marina where one could use for boat ramp, 5$. Also, the state park, adjacent to Sunset Marina, has a good boat ramp for 4$, State Park(2 Miles away) also has a beach. There are several Marinas around the lake and Dale Hollow is approx. 61 miles long with several fingers of water.
We have WIFI, TV in the Living Room and Master Bedroom has a DVD player. We are just getting started and although this place is awesome, It will only get better,..

What a wonderful place to spend time relaxing with family. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our children planned this trip for their parents 40th and the host even brought flowers. Beautiful place.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful retreat! John & Maria are the best hosts that I have ever experienced, extremely accommodating, friendly and professional. The cabin has everything you need. If something is missing, Maria will quickly provide! Such a relaxing and private spot, we are definitely returning next year!
We had a wonderful time. The house accommodated all 12 of us easily. Everything we needed was there, the house was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the pool and riding their scooters. Maria was a a great host. They treated us like family. Highly recommend.

VACATION!
This was one of the coolest places my family and I have ever stayed. Great location, beautiful house, easy access to the lake and marina. We will definitely stay here again. The homeowner was gracious and friendly. I couldn't come up with a bad thing to say about it if I had to!
Had a great visit to DHL. Enjoyed our time on the lake. The cabin is in a great location, just a few minute drive to Sunset Marina, and sits in a peaceful, quiet spot in the woods. Had some large bugs visit us in the cabin, but I guess that goes along with the wooded setting. Otherwise a great visit.
Great location only 5 min from sunset marina. Plenty of room & parking. Pool was nice! Met our needs, minimal privacy. Wasn’t expecting to rearrange our plans when homeowners were using the pool with their visitors but we went to the lake so not a huge deal…pet friendly which was a selling point! Lot is heavily wooded & would be great for 4x4s. Sweet Maria left a note, was in communication often, & owner was regularly in eye sight if anything was needed. House was comfy. The grill, stocked kitchen supplies, screened in porch, fire pit all very convenient.
Great place to stay. Well stocked kitchen. While there is a grill, we took a grate and cooked on the firepit. The pool is beautiful. DOG FRIENDLY! Owners are even fine with letting the dogs play in the pool.
If you plan to go, plan to take groceries and cook. Not much to choose from in "town". There is a grocery store for last minute things.
We will definitely be back!

Great house in a wonder location!
We loved this house and pool. It was super clean and comfortable, the pictures on the website do not do it justice. We had a fantastic time and would love to visit again. We brought our pontoon and the marina was so close and convenient. The only downside was the kids developed rashes from the pool, we think maybe the levels of chemicals were a little too high. We were also accused of taking 2 pillows from the house which really upset our families.

Family Boat Trip
This was our first family boat trip to Dale Hollow and we were excited to find this great house. We traveled with five young boys and they loved the property from the second they arrived. The house was clean, nicely decorated and the perfect size for our family, it had everything we needed including extra sleeping bags, towels, gas grill, and kitchen supplies to name a few. Very close to the lake. The boys already want to stay in this house next summer but requested that we stay longer! We hope to book again next year, Thanks John!

Great for the human and even better for the dogs!
While the first couple of days got off to a rocky start with no A/C, John immediately corrected the situation by having a new unit installed. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat! The house has just about everything you need. John, Wendy, Judy and Dwain are the best and I miss them already. The only thing I would recommend is some new pots and pans and a cutting board to save your counter tops. Otherwise da bomb!

Thank you very much,.. some items have gone missing,.. we have replaced several items including pots and pans,... take the best of care,..
We stayed for a week at the cabin in September with my family and parents. The weather was amazing so we enjoyed the pool every day.
Unfortunately if it weren't for the pool, I would've given the property a two-star. The cabin was NOT clean when we arrived. The kitchen and bathroom floors had not been cleaned, there was hair in the bathtub, and most of all the toilets were not clean. Yuck! The cabin definitely needs some TLC. While the surrounding area is beautiful and the pool was a hit with my kids, the cabin needs some work. Many of the light bulbs need replacing, the box springs on a bed upstairs was broken, making the bed very uncomfortable, the bathroom sink in the downstairs bathroom was clogged, the bath towels look like rags, and the screened-in porch in the back has a huge hole in the screen. Overall, this could be an amazing property. especially with the pool, but the cabin needs some attention and a good cleaning.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
nice pool, dirty house
The location was great. The pool was beautiful and warm. Enjoyed it a lot. However, one day when we came back from the lake and wanted to enjoy the pool, the owner was lounging there with his dogs. I thought he would leave when he saw us pull in but he did not. We were unable to use the pool that day when we wanted to. The house was not clean. We had to clean the downstairs toilet before using. The floors were dirty and there were cobwebs in the kitchen. The furniture downstairs was very, very old. The couch had a big chunk of stuffing and leather missing from the arm. Each piece of the sectional on the main level was different levels due to missing legs. I think it is probably mostly used by people was liked to party. There were probably 50 empty liquor bottles in the kitchen and living room used as decorations. If you are there to spend your all your time at the lake or want a place to party, this would probably be fine. We were there with an infant and family who wanted to spend time together at the house.

Thank you for your response. The pool is used for both cabins. The bottles are let for owner with notes write on them. All out of reach of a child. All other is fine.
