Modern 2-room vacation apartment for 3 people: Wi-Fi, balcony, ocean view, separate bedroom with a double bed, dishwasher, and much more! This 52-square-meter apartment, newly furnished and renovated in 2021, is located on the 2nd floor of the “Windjammer” building on Steinwarder. It features a spacious, light-filled living and sleeping area with a cozy sofa corner (sofa bed) with a flat-screen TV and a dining area. For entertainment, there’s a Blu-ray player along with a small selection of movies, books, board games, and puzzles. From the living room, you can step out onto the northeast-facing balcony with views of the ocean and the inland lake. Two balcony chairs invite you to relax here. The open kitchen area is fully equipped for your vacation needs. A coffee maker is included, as are an electric kettle and a toaster. You’ll also find an oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a dishwasher. There is plenty of dishes and silverware. The bedroom, which adjoins the living area, features a cozy double bed, its own flat-screen TV, and a spacious closet. Blackout curtains have also been installed. The apartment comes with its own parking space in front of the house.
Make yourself right at home—a home by the sea.
The “Windjammer” house is located in an ideal vacation spot on the north side of the inland lake! The beach is just a few steps away. And the house is a great starting point for everything you’d want to do on vacation:
Restaurants, a playground, a skating rink, and kiosks are all nearby. A bakery, bike rental, a mini-golf course, and—for the more athletic guests—a fitness center are also just under 800 meters away. There’s a great hiking trail leading to the cliffs—depending on the season, you might spot Galloway cattle and their calves there.
Our charming old town is about 2 km away—the best way to get there is to stroll along the lakefront promenade right into the heart of the city. With its traditional fishing harbor, numerous shopping options, delicious restaurants, the “Graswarder” nature reserve, the lovely beach, and the longest pier on the coast, our small harbor town has a whole lot to offer.
You can conveniently park your car in the house’s parking lot—and feel free to leave it there. In the summer, in addition to the regular buses, the Heiligenhafen “Bimmelbahn” (tourist train) runs, allowing you to quickly reach the town or the harbor, or you can simply rent a bike from the local bike rental shop. This gives you great flexibility. In general, Heiligenhafen is a great starting point for all kinds of bike tours: you can reach Großenbrode in just over an hour—a bit faster on an e-bike—or enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and cycle directly to Fehmarn.
