Family vacation 2024

Directions to cabin was right on, did not receive Code to get into the cabin by 4pm had to call at 515 when we arrived to get it, no internet or Wi-Fi at cabin called multiple time and never was fixed, hot tub on main level not working, satellite tv would reset multiple times when watching for updating, air conditioning on the main floor and upstairs could not keep the cabin any cooler than 77 during the day with 8 guest.

Family Spring Break 2024

This cabin was absolutely perfect for us! There is nothing to complain about. The floor is unlevel near the stove in the kitchen from settling but wasn't a big deal. This wasn't my first rodeo so I've learned to bring a swiffer to mop the floor when checking in because it simply isn't done in any of them. Also no big deal. There was a new grill, all of the amenities worked. They had an Alexa which was spotty because mountains and wi-fi don't mix. Nothing to be done about that. We walked our dogs on leashes to relieve themselves. This is definitely something to keep in mind. The walk is not easy. You are in the mountains so if you are not physical in the least then this may not be the best spot for you and your fur babies. Best cabin ever. Will book again with Eden Crest. If you read the review left from Christmas, DISREGARD it! It had me in a panic for absolutely no reason!

Heartbreaking Christmas Eve

Our Christmas cabin stay turned into heartbreak. We found a filthy, rundown cabin. The hot tub, remotes, stove burner, TVs, and kitchen nozzle were all broken. The cabin even leaned, adding to our discomfort. The floors were so dirty they blackened our feet. We had to clean just to survive there, horrified by dead bugs in the bathtub. The cabin was ice-cold. The central heating was useless, and the fireplaces weren't working initially, leading to sleepless, freezing nights. We chose this cabin for its main floor hot tub, considering my grandmother who can't navigate stairs. But it was broken, and the alternative hot tub, down narrow, hazardous stairs, was inaccessible, posing difficulties even for me.The internet was non-functional, and the DVD player, another broken amenity, stripped us of entertainment on Christmas. Despite reaching out early on, only the fireplaces were fixed. Trapped during the holiday season with no alternatives for our group of six and our service dogs, we had no choice but to stay. This Christmas, our first in over a decade, was a time to mourn my sister, my parents' daughter, and my grandparents' granddaughter. The cabin's dismal state, lack of parking, everything being broken, and no space for our dogs to relieve themselves, and the undisclosed month-long hot tub issue compounded our grief. I was coldly offered $100 after spending thousands. I don't know when I'll see my family again. I'm broken thinking this might be my last memory with some of them.

Mayberry

It was very clean and spacious. It was close to everything. I would’ve preferred to be higher with better views but it was still very nice. The 2nd hot tub was not working at all.

Beautiful but HOT

We enjoyed our evenings at the cabin. We wanted to enjoy the day but the air condition system couldn’t keep up and when we arrived it was 83 upstairs and 78 downstairs in the cabin. They sent someone to fix it within the hour. The downstairs got down to 70 and stayed there the rest of our stay. Unfortunately the upstairs didn’t get below 74 until the sun started going down. Most of the daytime it was 77-79 so we didn’t stay at the cabin as much as we would have liked to. We did request fans and that helped, I wish we would have done that sooner. I was told because it was so hot the air system couldn’t keep up but didn’t expect it to be 79 in the cabin during the day on our vacation. The hot tubs didn’t have steps so it was challenging for us short people getting in and out. We loved the wrap around porches and enjoyed sitting out early drinking coffee. The resort outdoor pool was very nice. The indoor pool was nice but too cold. The location was great. We enjoyed the complementary activities that come with the stay. The Wi-Fi was not great either but we were in the mountains, just wish we had known before.

The Small Things

We enjoyed our stay. Loved that we had 2 hot tubs. We were surprised to discover there was no salt, pepper, sugar/sweetener, coffee and tea. We thought these were standard items to have in the kitchen. The sofa bed in the bedroom on the 2nd floor was a little inconvenient especially when the sofa bed was open. It was right against the end of the king bed making it impossible to walk past the bed. The bathrooms could use more hooks for towels. The cabin had plenty of room for all of us. “Alexis” was an added bonus.

Nice, but…

I’ll start by saying that although I have several complaints, the only two issues I raised with the property manager were promptly handled. We enjoyed our stay, but were a bit disappointed, given the price. My initial instinct was to rate it lower, but I’m rating 4 stars because I’m sure the property manager would have addressed all of the issues similarly, having been given the chance. That being said, these issues should be addressed prior to a guest arriving. We arrived around 4:30 pm. I had received an email around 3:00 pm with the alarm code, Wi-Fi password and pool access code, but no door code. I called the property manager when we arrived, but as is often the case in the mountains, cell service is very poor. After wandering around the cabin the find a decent cell signal, I spoke to a lady and eventually got the code, but I still couldn’t get in. After talking with her and trying a few times, I discovered the door is really tight and needed a good push to get in. All of the exterior doors were like this and should be addressed by maintenance. The lady I was speaking to said she was texting me the code, but again, the cell service was poor and took me a while to receive it. I recommend calling a guest prior to check in to pass the info. Once we got in, we discovered a decent size blood stain on the edge of the downstairs bed spread. Use your imagination, but it was obvious what it was from. I texted a picture to the property manager and within a couple minutes, I received a very apologetic call and was told a cleaner was on the way to change the bedding. They arrived after 1 1/2 hours(which is understandable, due to the location) and they were also very apologetic. This was such an obvious oversight, it made me wonder if any of the bedding had been changed. There were other cleaning issues we noticed that we were able to overlook, but others may not. A couple of suggestions/nit-picky items for the owner/property manager: have a hair dryer available and a dish sponge in the kitchen. The shuffle board table downstairs doesn’t have any sand left, making it unusable and is very gouged up. Either make it usable or get rid of it. I personally think the space would be better used by a set of bunk beds to increase your occupancy. Ceiling fans on the porches would be nice in the hotter times of the year. Flip the doors around on the fridge. They open along the wall, which is very awkward. A Keurig would be nice.

Very nice property.

Property is very nice. Could use some maintenance and updates. Doors squeak, fire places blow a fuse if two are on at the same time, it took the toaster over 5 minutes just to get the bread very slightly toasted. The management is amazing. They were extremely helpful and responsive. I would stay in the property again it just needs a few minor adjustments.

okay but small problems

we did book very late and were glad that something was available. the place was as described with three bedrooms and plenty of space. There were just too many small problems, toilet not flushinh properly, AC not working one evening, Shower spraying over the floor, some kitchen utensils not working. all of the items were corrected just inconvenient when you are paying for a top price. also you should expect no cell service.

Great cabin!

This was the perfect cabin for our family to relax and enjoy! The owners are wonderful and communicate efficiently. The cabin was perfectly stocked and clean. It was a much needed vacation after the loss of our grandmother and this cabin provided all the time together necessary to accomplish that. Thank you for renting to us! We loved the stay!

Nice spacious and clean!

Perfect place to visit the area! Lots of space for our family. Clean, nice amenities and very spacious. Only drawback was that there is no outdoor play area for the kiddos - since it is really built into the side of the mountain! One suggestion - since it is advertised for 10 people, but only 8 chairs in the kitchen - you may want a couple of folding chairs

Family fun and good location

The cabin and neighborhood were nice and as expected. Lots of games for the kids, as well as outdoor activities. The indoor community pool was nice on a rainy morning and the location was 15 minutes from the main strip, which was great. There are a few items that would be updated (kitchen hardware, shuffleboard top, vent painting, some bedroom furniture is dated, etc.), but no deal breakers. We were very satisfied and would go back!

Privacy Not Included

The cabin is beautiful and nicely decorated. A little off the beaten path but when we called Eden Crest to get directions the only response we got was “put the address in your GPS and you’ll get there.” This is a community of cabins very close together and our neighbors on both sides were up partying all hours of the night. The wraparound porches were extremely dirty and need a good cleaning. There’s also bubbling in the tubs when you flush the toilets so a septic inspection would be a good idea. It’s in a pretty area and not high up the mountain but those were the only positives.
