Great family time
Went to celebrate and enjoy the last days of summer with our two boys and had an amazing time. The house was everything we needed and more. It was clean and well maintained. Our boys had a blast jumping off the dock, canoeing, swimming, fishing and roasting marshmallows. We had a great family time. Would recommend.

Amazing lakefront home!
My family of 6 stayed here in February and it was perfect! We went skiing/tubing at Mt. Peter which was only a 20 min drive away. The house was warm & cozy with the most spectacular views of Greenwood Lake(which was frozen and still beautiful!)
We can't wait to return in the summer for some swimming, summer activities!
David, the owner is great too. He emailed me every detail/information I could've possibly needed and was easy to get in touch with if I had any questions.
We are selling our home and decided last minute it would be easier for us to leave to get out of our realtors way. David was SUPER accommodating with our last minute reservation!
I’m also so grateful for his pet policy because it’s so hard to find a home which allows 2 dogs , let alone 1!!
The house was beautiful and an unforgettable view!
David was extremely helpful and responsive, thank you again!!
It doesn't get better than this! We went expecting to get together with family and left with more wonderful memories! We couldn't have done that without the organization and beautiful home offered by David and Charlie. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Every detail was well explained. The property grounds and the lake view were relaxing and beautiful. Our dog, who does get nervous, was right at home from the moment we arrived. David is fabulous! This truly is a special place!
If you are looking for a relaxing lake vacation, look no further than David's home! We stayed for 6 nights and wish we could have stayed for 6 more. David goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a comfortable stay and I truly felt like we were staying at a good friend's home with all of the personal touches and extra care that David gave prior to our arrival.
The home has absolutely everything that you need for a wonderful stay. The kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials for cooking. The rooms are large and comfortable. There are a ton of games, books and puzzles to choose from. And our dog was thrilled to see (and sniff!) all of the toys available for 4-legged friends!
Without a doubt the best part of this home is the location!! Situated at the end of a dead-end road, and right on the water, this house has the perfect amount of privacy. We loved sitting on the dock all day and cooling off in our own private swimming cove.
This is truly a special place and once you've visited, it's easy to see why it's such a beloved family home. Plus only an hour from the city? Can't beat that! We will definitely be back!!
Although this was a Business trip, this house was so Cozy! It felt great to get off work and relax in this Beautiful home. It is very peaceful and relaxing with Gorgeous Views! The manager is so friendly like an old acquaintance catching up on lost time! Would definitely come back for a family vacation!
We had a wonderful weekend at the lake with our best friends. The house was clean and nice and the location was great. A perfect weekend getaway from the city. Thank you.
This lake house rental had all the amenities to accommodate any party. Our host was very gracious. We enjoyed every aspect of the lake house and community.
The lake view is the best! Every morning, I got to enjoy my cup of coffee out on the deck. The house was cleaned and well equipped with all the kitchen and cooking necessities. Access to the kayak was a huge hit for my young adult children. Would definitely rent again.
Really amazing property with lake access and wonderful views. House was fully stocked and had everything one could want, including but not limited to endless board games, a little library of books we took advantage of, a grill, and some goodies for the lake (kayaks, noodles, tubes, etc.). David was available to text for quick questions and was a great host - appreciate the hospitality and hope to be back!
Spent two weeks at this lovely home! Everything you could want in a property and more!
Property owner was a delight and always available to answer questions.
Thank you, David, for sharing your home with us!
Gorgeous property lakeside with absolutely every amenity you can think of to make you feel at home away from home. Property manager was incredibly welcoming and available for those little questions to make things run smoothly. As a dog owning family, we were SO happy to find a house we could rent that welcomed dogs. We were able to mess around on the lake in kayaks/floaties provided by the owner but we were also able to get out to Warwick close by which had a great selection of informal and formal restaurants for those nights when we didn't want to cook. We enjoyed horse back riding at a stable close by, a wonderful hike at Wawayanda State Park on our doorstep and ventured a little further afield to learn about Woodstock.
We typically try a new place every time we vacation but this is truly a home and location we are very tempted to return to very soon!
We were fortunate to land at such an amazing spot for three weeks. Overlooking Upper Greenwood Lake in the heat of summer was the perfect spot. Situated up a shaded hill, we enjoyed a fabulous breeze, along with a lovely view. The house is spacious, stocked to a T, and very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The lake front private dock had comfy chairs, a kayak and a canoe and a very fun tube. Ducks, geese, and the occasional heron kept us company.
And David wins host of the year. He was responsive, even offered up suggestions to us without prodding. We were greeted with wine, chocolates and nuts. It was a prelude to a wonderful stay.
Our family rented this beautiful lake house on Upper Greenwood Lake in NJ. The house was so welcoming and it had plenty of room for our whole family. There were gorgeous lake views everywhere. We really enjoyed all the outdoor space this home has to offer; coffee on the deck off the master bedroom in the morning and family dinners on the very comfortable patio with lake views. It was great hanging out on the dock at the lake with 4 beautiful Adirondack chairs and umbrella for shade. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing in UGL as well. David was a wonderful host and he made sure we had everything we needed. What a gorgeous property!
House was great. Our family of 5 loved it. Awesome views of the lake in quiet neighborhood. We felt right at home from the start. David is an excellent and detailed host and has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We had a lot of fun skiing and even had some adventures on the frozen lake. Highly recommend this house. We hope to visit again soon!
The pictures don't do this place justice. We found the house to be very family friendly and beautiful as well as easy to reach mountain creek for skiing and on the lake. We would definitely stay again!
Simply the best lake house experience we’ve ever had. The home is beautifully situated lakefront. Very well kept. The host was very helpful, attentive and responsive.
The property was more than we expected and pictures don't do it justice. My sisters, my dogs and I had a most wonderful time at David's home and wish we didn't have to leave. Quiet, peaceful and just beautiful! The location cannot be beat and so many things to do in the area.! We will be back!!
My husband and our young adult children spent a delightful week at the lake house and enjoyed the wonderful deck, the well-equipped kitchen, the tremendous number of board games, and of course, the lake proper, kayaking practically every day. David was an incredibly responsive and attentive host and did his all to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The property is on a secluded nook in what I would otherwise characterize as a fairly busy lake, at least on weekends. And yet most days, my early morning kayak paddles found me alone on the water, just me and the ducks.
We enjoyed a number of hikes in the area and ordered in from a few restaurants, again with David offering helpful recommendations. The town of Warwick is a quaint and historic attraction.
My only suggestion would be for the owners to consider updating the kitchen, although we certainly did fine with what was there. And just know that the MB mattress is on the softer side for those who like a firmer mattress.
The Lake House and view were even better than the photos. Our hosts thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and fun. We lost power for 2 days after Hurricane Isaias rolled through and our hosts were very responsive and checked in with us frequently. We had a fun adventure though not exactly as anticipated!
Together since 1994, we've been lucky to have the best of both worlds, the hustle and bustle of big city living in NYC and the peaceful, calm energy of lakefront living. We've had the great pleasure of sharing our home with friends and family over the years, but with life getting busier and busier these days, we have now decided to extend the opportunity to others and share our slice of heaven.
Why they chose this property
We were pursing the perfect lakefront weekend home and retreat away from the fast paced Manhattan life. We searched a 75 mile radius map of NYC and honed in on motorboat lakes. We drove to each and every one from CT to upstate NY and found the perfect spot in New Jersey. Upper Greenwood Lake was the ideal distance, (one hour door to door, bridge or tunnel without traffic!) remote yet easily accessible to many amenities, from quaint towns to easy access to grocery stores and big box stores (even they have their benefits). The home provides a relaxed serene retreat with down home comfort.
What makes this property unique
Upper Greenwood Lake is a private motorboat lake which is virtually silent weekdays and boasts the ideal energy on weekends! Comes with many amenities and comforts for the perfect getaway. For lake and boating access check out GREENWOOD LAKE- 7 miles 'down the mountain', which has public access.
