We are ideally located, minutes walking to some of Hawaii's best beaches, highly recommended hiking nearby, a plethora of ocean sports, farmers markets and shopping in Kailua town, you can access so many activities without the use of a car. Fully furnished, bathtub, walk-in closet, A/C, W/D, granite counter tops, integrated sound system to smart phone or device ,king size bed, plus sofa sleeper, lovely lanai and On-Site parking. Our Cottage has large windows inviting the balmy trade winds to help you soak in the fresh air as well. Our location and proximity to all of the above is a real plus for relaxation, rejuvenation, and recreation at our property.

Perfect Location!

We loved being within walking distance of Kailua Beach and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Kailua is only 10 miles from busy Honolulu yet off the beaten path. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The hosts are wonderful and we look forward to our next trip back!

Hidden Paradise

From the first contact with Nancy and Rick, to our departure, it was all positive and first class. The little unit is perfect, well equipped, conveniently located to the beach, markets, and restaurant. We could not have chosen a better property and highly recommend it.

Perfect beach bungalow

The property is perfect. Great location, roomy, full kitchen, large bathroom and stocked with everything you need. So so much better than a hotel. Rick was super responsive and communication was excellent. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure!

Wonderful December

I really enjoyed my stay! Everything was as the pictures show.. Perfect location to the beach and shopping. Appreciated having all cleaning supplies, and paper products supplied. I will be back for another month of warm weather next year!!! Thanks for hosting Rick!

Sweetest spot!

Such a wonderful spot! From check in to checkout, this home base made for an extra special and easy trip. The studio feels spacious, well ventilated, and it was sparkling clean upon arrival. The host thought of everything you could need for beach outings or staying in. The bed is a great size and comfortable! The location is perfect, because you can walk to the beach, or walk in to town, so we barely needed the car if you like walking. There is great AC but you barely need it with the amazing cross breeze. The hosts were kind, organized, and very knowledgeable. Thank you for a beautiful visit!

Very comfortable

The cottage was exactly as described. Very comfortable bed. Easy walking or riding rusty bikes to beach, as well as walking into town to eat out. We shopped at Whole Foods and cooked at home. Nancy and Rick were helpful yet unobtrusive hosts. As long as the price remains reasonable, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a vacation spot. The only downside is that the property is on a busy street. It's perfectly fine when you are inside and you don't hear a thing, but we really didn't want to sit outside in the evening to have dinner. The music set up in the bungalow was awesome. Rick recommended a hike and a restaurant, both of which we really enjoyed. If I returned to Kailua, I would stay here again.

Great property, central location close to beach and town with wonderful hosts!

We enjoyed a relaxed and comfortable month long stay at Nancy & Ricks lovely cottage, well equipped we wanted for nothing, quiet, clean and with lovely decor the cottage provided a central location, just an easy 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach and a short 7/8 minute walk into town. We have stayed in Kailua a number of times with our family, Nancy's cottage was a great choice for the two of us, very well equipped, air conditioned, a large comfortable bed and with excellent facilities the cottage truly exceeded our expectations! From our experience we know how difficult it is to find truly well thought out and modern accommodation in Kailua - Nancy and Rick have absolutely nailed it with their cottage. Everything was provided - beach towels, sun loungers, boogie boards, Wi Fi, onsite parking - you simply couldn't want for anything more! Nancy and Rick have thought of it all so you can arrive, unpack and get straight on with your holiday......... Thank You! We highly recommend both the property and hosts - you simply won't find better! Colin & Carol

Clean and organized cottage near everything

Rick and Nancy’s property provides clean and convenient accommodations for 2 people. They have the cottage well stocked and organized so you have everything you need for a beach day or drive around the island. They are available to answer your questions or provide tips on where to dine and shop. We enjoyed the bikes and on site laundry machines while there. We would definitely return to their cottage for another trip. Excellent experience with no complaints whatsoever. We truly appreciated the cleanliness. Thank you so much!

Perfect location!

The place is exactly like the pictures. The location is amazing, a few minutes walking from the beautiful Kailua Beach. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s also close to many restaurants. In the place you will find anything you need and having a washer & dryer helps so much! Nancy was amazing showing us the studio. Me and my husband had the best time there. I would definitely come back.

Wonderful Kailua Cottage

Rick & Nancy’s Kailua Cottage was perfect!! Everything was clean and they provided many great amenities for us to utilize. The cottage is very close in distance to the town of Kailua, which has many great eats/cafes and shops. Also, Kailua beach was only a short walk away and the beach was so picturesque and stunning! Rick was overall very helpful and kind during our stay. We very much enjoyed our visit and thank you again for opening your doors for my Husband and I to stay. We had a blast in Hawaii and hope to return again in the future! Mahalo

Comfy and convenient with great hosts

Rick and Nancy's place is in great shape. Great bed and a well equipped kitchen including a gass grill which we used often. Strategically placed between town and the beach. After an initial week of renting their great little car, we got by on bikes for grocery shopping etc. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, but we cooked in most nights. When any small problem arose Nancy and Rick fixed it quick and they were a great source of advice on where to go and what to do. Kailua beaches are fantastic and close to home. GREAT STAY!!

Perfect place

We stayed at Rick and Nancy’s place for 9 days in November. That sparkly clean little cottage has everything that you need on your Hawaiian vacation - full size kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, all kind of dishes; flat screen cable TV, high speed Internet, laundry room with washer and dryer, beach chairs, beach towels, a parking spot. And it’s literally 10 minutes walk from beautiful Kailua beach with water sport rentals nearby. Shopping is just in 3 minutes drive. And the hosts are very nice, pleasant people living next door, always available for anything you need. Rick gave us a few ideas about nearby hikes, Nancy provided an excellent guidance about things in the cottage. They even let us stay for extra hours after check out time on our last day so we could take a shower after a day on the beach before our late night flight back home. If we could rate that place higher then 5 out of 5 we would give it 20! Thank you Nancy and Rick for making our vacation so special and unforgettable!

So great. It’s a difficult time with COVID. The hosts were very accommodating. The unit was lovely, comfortable and just what I needed. The host even helped me out when I moved out. I can’t say enough to praise the hosts. 5 stars!

Great location & 1st class accommodation!

This is our second visit to Nancy & Ricks cottage & as before it was just perfect! Central location with an easy 5/10 minute walk to either the beautiful beach or town, a modern property it is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. This is the best accommodation choice in Kailua as Nancy and Rick have thought of everything you may need, with their very well designed modern cottage providing the perfect holiday location so you can just arrive, relax and enjoy your holiday. Highly recommended!

Cute, clean, and great location

Perfect size for a couple. Short walk to beach, shopping or breweries. Well appointed and very clean. Host were also kind and helpful. Normally would have given it five stars but on-site construction during our stay was not ideal nor disclosed. Otherwise lovely place.

Couldn’t have been better!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in Nancy’s cottage. The place was new, clean and safe. We took full advantage of all the amenities - nicely stocked kitchen to cook our own meals, comfy bed, cable TV, washer & dryer, AC, beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, towels, bikes, etc. The location is central to the gorgeous beaches of Kailua and Lanikai and to Kailua town (Target, Foodland, Whole Foods, Starbucks, farmers market, and lots of restaurants). We couldn’t have been happier with our trip. Mahalo for showing us the aloha spirit and making us feel so welcomed. I hope we meet again!

The best of locations. Friendly, helpful hosts. We loved it.

This was the ideal spot for us, a pair of retired Canadians escaping a cold winter. Imagine walking just a few blocks to a gorgeous mile-long sandy beach, and just a few more minutes walk to an even better (more swimable) beach at Lanikai. And just 10 minutes' walk the other direction to the town's shopping area, groceries, and three weekly farmers' markets. The cottage had all the basics we needed and more. And our hosts Rick and Nancy made us feel right at home there from the get-go. There's some noise from the often busy street out front, but that was hardly an issue to us. Thanks, Rick and Nancy!

Home away from home

We stayed at Rick and Nancy’s cottage for 3 relaxing weeks. The cottage was fantastic! It has everything you need, inside and out. Spent mornings and evenings sitting on the lanai having coffee / cocktails. (even enjoyed sitting outside listening to the rain). Great outdoor space! The location is perfect, lots to do in the area, hiking, kayaking, biking, as well as the many other activities the beautiful beaches have to offer. Kailua and Lanikai beaches are spectacular. Great variety of local restaurants and farmers markets you could walk or bike to. Can’t say enough good things about Kailua and especially this cottage that literally felt like home! Thank you Rick and Nancy, it was great meeting you and we will be back!

Great Hawaiian vacation spot

The space is as advertised and is well equipped with everything you need plus extras. Paper goods and cleaning supplies were in great abundance! Not their fault but because of the continued damp weather, the space never was dry. Nancy and Rick were pleasant and helpful with nice suggestions on places to dine and shop. The beach and many attractions were within walking distance and often just a short drive away.
