About this property

Rockworks Villa- off the beaten path for peace and tranquility

Rockworks is a spacious two bedroom home located on the quite north side of St. Thomas with the second bedroom across the sunny deck for maximum privacy. The main pavilion consists of your kitchen, dining areas and King Master suite. The house is perfect for two couples or a small family and is all on one level with only one step up into the houses and has convenient parking for two vehicles. This estate features your cocktail pool which is approximately 10' x 18' (3' to 4.5' deep), terraces with palms of all types along with fruit trees and bright tropical flowers. Rockworks was designed for air flow which allows guests to enjoy the tropical breezes, though the house is fully air-conditioned. We are 1/3 of a mile above Dorothea Bay.
Rockworks is situated on the same estate as Stone Cottage, but privacy is complete between the two. You could book both villas for up to seven people. We are constantly upgrading furniture and bedding, please understand that not everything will be the same as pictured at all times :)
* Caretaker lives below and on lower level of Rockworks (underneath 2nd pavilion) with own driveway and entrance. Privacy is assured and complete. NO EVENTS at this property! This house is for your group only. No outside guests are allowed without owners written permission.
*For any children under the age of 18, you are required to sign a Child Liability Waiver
*Please note that if you book during hurricane season and a storm should come, please be prepared to vacate the villa. We highly recommend CFAR (for any reason) Trip Insurance during any portion of your stay!
* Gardeners come to our property twice a month with no certain date set. Sherri will notify you the day before they are coming. Thanks for understanding!
* The pool is a "Cocktail" pool - approximately 10' x 18' x (3' to 4.5' deep) and is all you need!

BOOM! Ha ha on the new coffee maker! It is rare that I have new machines available and waiting, but I would have made it work for you one way or another! Even if I had to give you my machine, lol! I had a back up carafe, but the wrong size. Coffee is very important in the morning! I'm so happy that your lovely family had a wonderful vacation and I look for to seeing you all again! Love this place!!

We absolutely loved this Villa. Sherri is a great host! She was very responsive, helpful and gave us a lot of helpful advice. My kids really enjoyed the pool. Highly, highly recommend Rockworks and St. Thomas. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing and Tranquil Villa

Everything about the stay was great. Check-in/out was easy Sherri is an amazing host, super friendly and thoughtful. The location is peaceful and secluded with a few bars and restaurants 3mins away at Hull Bay and beach.

Thank you, Cathy! Rockworks is like no other on island and I have to say that I am pretty fond of it myself, ha ha! When it sold from the original owners and was appraised, the appraiser said "This property is a work of art". As for the pool, on the photo of it, it says, Cocktail Pool. Because so many book the property using their phones vs a desktop where you can see things more clearly, I checked with my phone. It took me a minute, but under amenities, you can click in to "see all 66 amenities and you will find the actual dimensions of the pool as well. The pool dimensions listed are: approximately 10' x 18' x (3' to 4.5' deep). I am actually happy to address this here as for no confusion for future guests! The photos were taken by a professional photographer and not altered in any way. I thank you for your kind review and hope that we see you again someday!

Great relaxing stay

Excellent property manager that made every effort to communicate prior to the stay. Gave us great local knowledge once we arrived and was genuinely pleased to have us there. It will not only be a property that we visit again, but one that we will certainly recommend to others!

First time to "North Shore" and loved it!

We have stayed in the Redhook area for years and wanted to try something different. Rockworks Villa and the North Shore area is an entirely different "vibe"; lush surroundings, peaceful and quiet but within easy reach of Megan's Bay and great attractions in and around Charlotte Amolie. We loved out stay at Rockworks Villa and property manager Sherri was amazing to work with!!!!

Peaceful Escaoe

Our stay was everything we were looking for. The houses are well appointed and comfortable and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The location provides you the views you are looking for in a very tranquil setting. A few minutes drive and you can be anywhere on the island. Sherri was most helpful in the weeks leading up to our trip and made us feel like family when we were in town. Highly recommended.

Rockworks and Sherri are the Best!!

We had the most perfect stay at Rockworks! The villas were immaculate, beds and linens clean and comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything we needed. The grounds surrounding the villas are lush, green and gorgeous. Sherri was absolutely the best hostess; always available to answer questions but never intruding on our privacy, although we loved visiting with her during our stay. This was our second stay at Rockworks and we hope to return some day soon. Thank you Sherri for a wonderful vaca!!

I am the manager of Rockworks owner, John, and have been managing the villas since 1999. Rockworks started short term renting in 1997 and was finished building in 1996. I love what I do and have enjoyed our guests on many levels. We are blessed.

Why they chose this property

We are off the beaten path, west of Magen's Bay. We are close to one of the most secluded beaches that you may either use 4wd to get to or hike to via the rocky Dorothea beach below. This beach has no amenities so be sure to take water and snacks with you! It is one of our favorite spots and so peaceful. Few people even know about it!

What makes this property unique

Our terraced yard offers mangoes, bananas, plantain, coconut trees, lemon and lime trees, passion fruit, and even avocodo, but remember these things are seasonal and not always available. We always share what we have on hand!
We also are blessed with a lovely restaurant called Fish Bar and 2 very casual beach bars, The Shack at Hull Bay and Nomad's also on Hull Bay Beach just 1 mile away.
