Pets are welcome but limited to two dogs less than 25 pounds each. No cats allowed.

Peaceful, river cabin just minutes to the beach. Enjoy the restful ambiance of this well decorated 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bath cabin on Bon Secour River. You can relax while viewing the river on the extended deck. Canoe up the river and return to a simpler life of floating under the live oaks in the provided canoe. Community pool just steps away. You can fish right from your pier. Just a few minutes to Gulf Shores Parkway with all the activities ( go carts, putt putt, water park and amusement park, etc.) and restaurants. Shopping galore…close to Tanger Outlet and the shops. Only a 15 minute drive to the pristine sugar sands of Gulf Shores beaches. Then you can leave the crowds behind and return to paradise on the river with turtles,cranes, herons, pelicans, seagulls,.

The canoe/kayak ramp is just steps from your door or the community pool is a short stroll in the other direction. So much to do or you can do nothing at all! This is the best place to decompress while having the opportunity to live it up! Come see why!!!!

Great Low-Key Vacay Spot

Wonderful stay

The cabin was beautiful, clean and had a fabulous view of the sunset over the Bon Secour river. Our host was very responsive as we were concerned about the weather on the day of our scheduled arrival. We have nothing but positive things to say about our visit and would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Trip

This was the perfect location for our introduction to Southern Alabama. The quaint area with the house situated right on the water made for a perfect setting to enjoy any time of the day or night.

Absolutely Amazing! Just what we needed!

We found the property by scanning the VRBO map, and fell in love with the water front and the fact that pets were allowed! The spaces were clean, the size was perfect, and the location was even more perfect. We were here during spring break, but this location was still quiet! We enjoyed fishing from the dock, feeding turtles and ducks, and getting on the river! So very peaceful! Adult drinks while watching the kids and dog play on the dock! Away from the hustle of gulf shores, but close enough to enjoy it every day!It is a little odd using the restroom in what feels like a closet, but having two bathrooms is great for a family of 4!There are not enough great things to say about the host! She was easy to work with, and accommodating! She made our stay great, and we will be back!

Just what we were looking for!

This property was the perfect getaway for my family. If you want to be close to the Gulf but not in the hustle and bustle this place is for you. Beverly was so attentive and responded to any questions we had in a timely manor. Having access to the river via the canoe took our trip to the next level. We were able to explore and fish from the canoe and the large dock! The neighborhood felt incredibly secluded and safe. We loved the pool that was just next door from our home. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Bonus, we saw dolphins swimming outside by our dock! 5/5 stars from us!

Just what we were looking for! Quiet and away from the noise, but close enough for any activity, restaurant, or shopping! We enjoyed the view and sitting on the deck at sundown.

Peaceful Paradise

Wonderful location! My daughters and i loved that we were minutes from the beach, restaurants, and attractions but got to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the river. Would certainly stay there again!

Awesome getaway

We wanted to have a relaxing, enjoyable week away from home. We hit the jackpot with this place! We enjoyed every bit of it from the fishing, beautiful sunsets, feeding the ducks and turtles. We will definitely stay here again. The owner is absolutely amazing.

Beautiful cabin right on the river!

The host was very responsive, location was close to the beaches, zoo and local restaurants. Canoeing in the river was awesome and caught some fish. We will be going back again.

Enjoyed the scenery and privacy. Pool was nice. Wasn't as clean as I'd expect (dusty, towels had mildew smell) and not enough storage or hooks to hang things.

Excellent Relaxation

Everything was wonderful! Our host was friendly and responded to messages. The Cabin is quiet and relaxing, with comfortable furniture and bed! Right on the water for fishing and kayaking! Wildlife galore with ducks, cranes, turtles, and the neighbor said he saw a dolphin while we were there!! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. There’s plenty of space to walk your four legged friend. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up the days catch, WiFi was great for streaming. Stop looking and book this one! We will be back!!

Relaxing Gulf Coast Cabin

The accommodations were as advertised. The cabin was well furnished and maintained. Perfect location. You can relax at the cabin and enjoy the wildlife of the Bon Secour or travel 10 minutes and chill at the beach. Thank you, Beverly, we had a wonderful time.

Weekend escape

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at your river cabin! It was extremely peaceful and quiet, just what a semi-retired couple was looking for. Really enjoyed a paddle down the river in the canoe. Off the main drag, but still near several nice dining establishments, and the beach. It's on my list of place to go back to! Lance and Beverly are originally from the Mobile, Alabama area and stumbled on this beautiful property while kayaking the Bon Secour River back in 2016. When we saw it we immediately started looking for a cabin! Since purchasing, we have loved our little cabin on the river for many years, and plan to for many more!

Why they chose this property

The quiet family atmosphere is the main reason we chose to buy our cabin. Friendly neighbors and beautiful sunsets were also a big plus!

What makes this property unique

Our cabin at the galley is close to all of the typical beach tourist attractions and shopping but is away from the crowds. After beaching or shopping during the day, come back to the peace and quiet of Relaxing River.
