About this property

Architect designed cabin in the woods, Pender Island

We invite you to relax and enjoy our beautiful, peaceful retreat nestled in five private acres on South Pender Island. The property is sunny and warm with ocean glimpses from the cottage, deck and bathtub. The open concept cottage includes a spacious full height sleeping loft, fully outfitted kitchen with granite counter tops, bathroom with walk-in shower, and outdoor bathtub. The eclectic furniture consists of an antique industrial table and stools, modern sofa and ottomans, and a comfortable queen bed. The cottage, completed in 2013, is close to hiking trails, beaches, Poet's Cove Resort and Port Browning Marina. We try to reduce our environmental footprint through the use of environmentally friendly cleaning and bath products. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or the bed.

The host, Sandra was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions. She has lots of suggestions for places to go and check out. The cottage itself was cozy, quiet and a perfect spot for a getaway.
View from the shower. The outside tub was disconnected due to freezing temperatures but I was cozy and warm inside with the rain shower.
A little landmark in the William Walker Trail, near to the cottage. Worth the hike.
View from the Mount Norman summit. Take a snack up there on a sunny day for a little rest before continuing.

Everything was neat and clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking pots and pans. Washing machine was on the fritz so maybe ask in advance if it's working. Pocket view of the ocean. Quiet and serene.

This was our first time staying on Pender Island, and it was such a beautiful experience. We truly loved the cabin surrounded by forest, fresh air, and the peaceful ocean breeze. It felt like a perfect escape from city life. The wood-stove fireplace made it especially cozy and added to the charm of the space. Sandra was a wonderful host who was warm, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a tranquil island getaway.

Stylish architecture and furniture

We enjoyed the simplicity of the cottage and marvelled at the architectural features. I loved sitting in the beautiful Softline chair. This was our first stay on the South Island and enjoyed the unite, the pathways and the views across the sound.

We have stayed at the cabin twice and both times were magical. Waking up in the morning to the view of the ocean and trees as well as the bathtub on the deck and the wood stove were all highlights of our stay.

This suite was a beautiful place to stay and we felt at home right away. The back deck has a view of the ocean but remains private from the the road so noise is kept to a minimum. The space was well taken care of and you can tell the host, Sandra, has put a lot of thought into everything you might need during your stay. Would recommend to all my friends and family!
