Bright and spacious, this home is sure to meet all of your expectations. Comfortable and tastefully decorated in a coastal theme, there will be no guessing that this house was made to inspire good times and relaxation. Our home is in walking distance to the nature trail and biking distance to the clubhouse/pools. Come to the Peninsula and enjoy a resort vacation, full of activities for kids and adults. Golf, tennis, swimming, wave pool, beach as well as a brand new Mini Putt Putt golf area..... too many amenities to list.

When you park in the two car garage, you walk into a mudroom complete with a full size washer and dryer, ironing board and a washtub to rinse out sandy bathing suits. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need; a Keurig coffee maker, toaster over, Ninja blender, Blue tooth docking station/charger, a breakfast bar with stools.
A stocked spice cabinet is there so that you do not have to pack the essentials. The first floor includes a very open floor plan perfect for entertaining or watching over the kids as you make dinner. 50 inch HDTV tv/dvd player with Verizon Fios, DVR and high speed internet. Large dining room table with extension is great for family dinners. Spacious 500 square foot patio complete with lounge chairs and another table perfect for outside dining or reading on a recliner. The first floor also includes a room with a queen bed, and a half bath. Plenty of books and toys, wagon, bikes, big wheel, beach toys and games.
Upstairs you will find 3 well appointed bedrooms. The master includes a king size Temperpedic bed with pillows, large closets, new 50 inch smart tv/dvd player, and Verizon FIOS cable/DVR. Master bath has a large shower, separate toilet, his/her sinks and lots of counter space. Second bedroom has a king bed, full size crib (if needed), lots of windows and closet space. Third bedroom has a queen Temperpedic bed, twin blow up mattress (if necessary), large closet and lots of windows. Full Bathroom with tub and large counter space.
We have an assortment of beach toys, 2 Adult beach cruiser bike, 1 kids bmx bike (6-12 year old), and 2 bikes (good for 2-6year old).

***Linen/towel service to be arranged separately.

***Passes for the pools/fitness center/clubhouse can be purchased at the clubhouse front desk. *********Guest are not allowed at the Pool or the athletic center on Saturday's. In addition, Rental guest have access to the pools and amenities after 10AM) * As for the Saturday restrictions, Check-in during the High season is on Saturday's at 3pm and would not make sense to pay for that day anyway.

***We only rent for full weeks (7+ days) during July and August.

At the Peninsula you get the best of both worlds, the resort-like setting close enough to the hustle and bustle of the beach world and far enough away to feel as though you have really gone on a peaceful vacation.

Great getaway weekend

We had a great stay at the Peninsula. We have stayed there several times in the past and found the property to be as advertised. The house was beautiful and perfect for the needs of our party, which included two different families.

Paradise stay @ at Peninsula

We had a wonderful stay at the Peninsula. The home was clean and stocked with lots of amenities to enhance our stay. The bikes, beach toys and chairs, and baby gate & crib were a wonderful plus! And the community was amazing. My family loved the pools, pickleball and walking/biking paths!

Another Great Stay at Holly and Don's Place

Our family (4 adults and 2 kids) spent another great week at Holly and Don's Place. This was our second time at the house - a testament to the qualities and comfort of the house. A big plus for families and extended stays: the kitchen is extremely well equipped to cook and even bake.

Very Nice house in a welcoming gated community

The listing was very accurate, the owners are very nice, responsive and flexible. The staff in the gated community was very nice. The kids enjoyed the pool, tennis and trails. The house is equipped with everything you might need and it comfortably accommodates 9 people. This is definitely a place I will be going back to.

Another great vacation stay!

This is our 2nd stay at the house and it was another great vacation. The house is beautiful. The new appliances in the kitchen were gorgeous. The house was super clean and very comfortable. The master bathroom with it’s extra large shower is great after a day of going to the beach and shopping. We can’t wait to come back next year!! Thanks so much for having us :)

Wonderful Home at Peninsula

The property was perfect for my family. This charming home was spotless and very comfortable. We were able to enjoy all the perks of the community as well, from the indoor swimming, fitness center, walking trails and club house. Holly is an amazing host and provided a well stocked kitchen with everything you could imagine. Holly made herself available in case we were in need of anything, which we weren't. We will definitely be staying at Holly's home again. I highly recommend this property and I am looking forward to our next trip to Delaware.

The owners were very responsive. Great house but trash was left in drawers, behind televisions and under beds. There were ants upstairs in main bathroom and bedrooms. Contacted owner who said she would send ant traps but they were already there. Needs a professional exterminator. Home now and washing everything.

Great trip for young families

We had a great time at the Peninsula! The house was just as the photos show - no surprises and the main floor was perfect - very open and large with plenty of space to spread out. It was 4 adults (my husband and I and my parents) and my 2 daughters ages 6 and 2. There was more than enough room for all. The beds were all comfortable and the full size crib was perfect. A/C worked great and it was nice to have the full fios 50 inch TV for downtime! There were 3 supermarkets down the road, which was very convenient. There were toys, bikes and even a power wheel jeep - which my girls loved. Don & Holly were so helpful and very responsive to any questions. We had a problem with the remote control and they sent someone out to purchase a new one that same day. They didn't have to do that and it was very much appreciated. They couldn't have been more helpful throughout the stay. The facilities at The Peninsula are wonderful and the grounds are pristine. There was a craft activity for the kids every day at 11am in the Game Room - which my girls loved. The wave pool is fantastic - and you have the option of the indoor pool if the weather isn't cooperating. It was great to have the bay beach for a change of scenery and a walk on the pier. We never made it to the spa or nature trails, but will do next year! I loved the Cardio Tennis classes and the gym was clean and it great working order. My husband and I went to the clubhouse for dinner one night and had some drinks on the terrace overlooking the golf course and fountains - which was beautiful! The staff were so friendly and they make a great dirty martini! Food was delicious too. We went to Rehoboth Beach twice, which took apx 25 mins and parking was easy - Funland was great for the kids and my husband and I love the Dogfish brewery. We went to Lewes one night for dinner at Agave, which was a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The Pomegranate margarita was amazing. We love to travel and stay in new places, but my husband and I both agreed we will be back to the Peninsula next year - it was just so easy and convenient for the kids and relaxing for the adults. I will definitely make more use of the facilities next year - a few golf and tennis lessons and definitely a trip to the spa! You can't go wrong booking here. I have very high expectations and mine were exceeded!!

The house was nice and Holly was very quick to respond to emails. The house had some issues with ceiling lights not turning off. This was probably due to a short in the writing. Also, there was no cold (not a typo, there was no COLD water) water in the hall bathroom on the second floor. We all had to use the master suite bathroom to shower. I would suggest getting area rugs for the downstairs to absorb some noise. Bedtime was tough when there were people still awake on the first floor.

Week long enjoyable stay

We had a very nice stay at the house. The security was top notch. The house was secured and felt very safe. The house was nicely appointed with lots of space. The bed in the master is very hard. Master bathroom shower was wonderful. Chair and couches in the living room are very comfortable. Kitchen was huge and again worked for our needs. Didn’t get a chance to utilize the amenities, hopefully next time. Owners were very nice and emailed and texted through the whole process in a timely manner.

House has potential !

Before our trip the owner reached out to address issues in a previous review and reassured me that all of the things listed would be taken care of. This was simply not the case. Upon our arrival security did not have the paperwork we filled out and security indicated this is a common problem with the owners. Owners are responsive, they did have new lounge chair cushions delivered during our stay but they clearly do not visit the property often or care enough to correct many of the issues. House needs a major cleaning and paint job both inside and out. The outside needs a major power wash, patio and front porch are extremely dirty. The biggest problem is the overall cleanliness of the house. We found moldy butter in a butter dish, a ton of opened expired food products in the cabinets and refrigerator. Dirty socks under the couch. Sanitary napkins behind the bed in the master bedroom, hardened candy on carpet and in nightstands in one guest bedroom. 2nd bathroom tub fills up during shower because of a clogged drain. Washing machine smells terrible and dryer takes multiple cycles to dry even the smallest amount of clothes. In addition, the amount of personal items left by the homeowner is uncomfortable. These should be locked up or at least put away in an organized way. When renting a property it should be left with no personal items from the owner or previous renters. I expect to walk in to a rental like my family is the first family there. There are no dressers or mirrors in any of the bedrooms (except master). There are also no blinds on any of the windows and the curtains provided in the bedrooms keep out no light in morning. Beds are literally just a frame and a mattress. The “bedroom” on the main level is literally a mattress on the floor. There are also no hooks to hang towels in the bathrooms, 1 small rod per bathroom is not enough for a house that is suppose to sleep 8+ people. The grill outside is unusable, it is completely rusted out. This house has great potential if it was just taken care of and more thought was put into the bedrooms. The only thing that saves this house is the amenities and security provided by the gated community.

Property needs maintenance but great amenities

Owner was as responsive as he could be over the phone and arranged for plumber (no hot water Saturday-Monday and family drove to clubhouse to shower!) and arranged for delayed trash pickup. Be aware-NO dressers in 3 bedrooms. NO ceiling fans. NO blinds or shades to block morning sun. No screen on patio door. House needs deep cleaning. Oven was disgusting. Light bulbs out in kitchen and stairwell. Open food in pantry and cabinets. Black spot on ceiling in one bedroom needs to be addressed!! Great amenities and pool saved this property from an even lower rating.

The Perfect Vacation!

The location is AWESOME! Plenty to do! Swimming fitness basketball tennis wave pool with sand poolside snack bar game room for kids and adults. We didn’t need to leave the community! The home is very beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners are very nice. Everyone at the clubhouse were nice. It is the perfect vacation getaway and only 35 min from Rehoboth beach, boardwalk. and outlets. We highly recommend this place !

Beautiful property

The check in process was simple and the property was as described. It is in a beautiful community. The house is in need of a deep cleaning (Such as the oven) and could have been cleaner overall as it did not appear that all main surfaces were properly wiped upon arrival and there was food/trash left under some of beds and couches. Otherwise, this was a gorgeous property and we intend to return.

We are small business owners from Wilmington Delaware that don't get to travel much. So we decided to build a place that we could escape to on the weekends, that felt like a resort. The beautiful, serene nature trails and fun, kid focused neighborhood provides our children with a childhood full of great memories. The problem is, we are often too busy and are not available to enjoy our home away from home. We sincerely hope you and your family/friends can use our lovely getaway as the perfect backdrop for your own memories!

Why they chose this property

Fully stocked home ready for great memories! Lots of extra parking, great views from the front porch, and close to the fresh water pond with a fishing pier stocked with bass. The wave pool and restaurant is just a quick bike ride away. When we drove through the gates we both knew that this was the place. By all measures, the Peninsula is a top notch resort community with amenities galore. Our lot has a lovely grassy area on the side, perfect for kids to play in as well as a large sidewalk area for kids riding bikes. We love to sit on our front porch and watch our kids play.

What makes this property unique

We picked this floor plan because it is great for entertaining. The living room and dining room and kitchen are all in full view, which puts all of your guest in the mix! There is lots of lush green grass when you step out the front door which is suitable for numerous activities. Wide and smooth sidewalks frame the large open space.This allows young kids to ride bikes without the fear of going in the street! Our home is perfectly situated to allow you to observe and enjoy watching the ones while you relax with a cold beverage from the comfort of the front porch.
