Perfect Place and Perfect Location

The condo couldn't be in a better location. Right above playa Madera, short 10 minutes walk into downtown and a 25 minute walk to playa La Ropa. The view from the condo is amazing.

Lovely Condo with a Great View

Three of us stayed here for 10 days and we enjoyed every minute. The views are amazing, the beds comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the pool is nice place to cool off. The location is very walkable to town, and most places. The communication from booking to check out was excellent! We can't wait to come back!

Fantastic Location

Location is perfect! located in front of Madera Beach with fantastic restaurants and shopping just minutes away. The unit it self is clean and well equipped. Nice pool for lazying around if you feel like not moving at all. Highly recommended!

Fabulous condo.. magical!

Chris and Kelly's condo was truly wonderful! The location is ideal for walking to the beach, markets, and anything you may need for amenities. The layout of the condo is convenient and the view is incomparable! We will return for sure :)

Truly paradise

We loved staying in this condominium it had everything we needed and more! The ocean breeze and sounds of waves was soothing and very relaxing. The views are amazing and the location was perfect for a walk to town along the paved walkway oceanside, or a walk to the other beaches. We also loved our boat Carman and the security guards were a bonus and lovely!

This condo is wonderful. All amenities are provided. It's very comfortable. The bedrooms have air conditioners which , for our stay was a necessity. It is very hot and humid in June. The condo is conveniently located an easy walks to town, the beach and nearby restaurants. Some restaurants were closed this time of year . . . But we still found many! Chris was so very easy to deal with and basically a pleasure. Carmen greeted us when we arrived and checked in on us every day. I'm a mosquito magnet, but there was plenty of bug repellent. This is a great place. If we come back to Zihuatenajo....we will stay here.

We greatly appreciate this review; the time and trouble our guests have taken to share their thoughts and the knowledge that they enjoyed their time as they did. We'd like to make just one note: mosquitoes can come with the humid weather of June and July, but, when they do, they are easily kept at bay with a bit of prevention, as our guest has mentioned. It is not typical to have mosquitoes during the drier times of the year.

Amazing view from your living room and very comfortable accommodations and friendly/helpful staff.

The views were incredible and the bed very comfy! The condo was well equipped and we appreciated the shopping/beach bags and beach towels. The staff and owner were super helpful with any questions we had as well. Great central location between town center and Playa La Ropa, but we loved our low-key Madera beach too. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Zihua.

Beautiful Views

The two bedroom accommodations were very comfortable and the location was great with nearby access to a variety of restaurants and a small grocery/needs shop right down the street. Caution: Zihuatanejo is very mountainous and can be difficult to navigate on foot. Fortunately, there are plenty of taxis readily available. Be prepared to relax and enjoy.

The location was perfect, everything was perfect

We could not have been happier with this property. It was a short walk down to Madera beach, and a short walk down the other side for our excellent morning coffee. The lovely property manager helped us with our PCR tests, helped us with planning an excursion, and was generally available and happy to help with any request, and answer any questions. The owner of the property was also helpful, and quick to respond to a few questions before our trip. There is air conditioning I believe, but it was never necessary because of some ceiling fans, and a fairly steady ocean breeze that made the atmosphere delightful. I don't want to say too much - I hope it might be available next time we visit!

Blown away!!

We had a fantastic holiday thanks to our amazing living experience. Great reception from Carmen upon arrival with main floor walk to unit. Postcard view when we walked in just blew us away. Very comfortable master with excellent / quiet air conditioning. Great pool and not too busy. We especially liked the sense of security thanks to the attentive security support at front gate. For Canadian guests pcr testing is easy and very professional. Chris has the details.

Stunning La casa de Rosario

I was there with my husband and a 4 year old son for about 8 days. The condo is stunning. The view, the condo itself, facilities all were perfect for a small family. The price is reasonable and much lower as compared to many other properties nearby. Must go, highly recommended. The manager Chris is very nice and replies to emails quickly. The caretaker of the property Carmen was very helpful and really a nice person.

Hermoso sitio para descanso

Fue una experiencia maravillosa, está ubicada a unos pasos de la playa la madera, muy cerca del centro de Zihuatanejo y a unos minutos de la hermosa playa la ropa. La casa está perfecta para 4 personas, cuenta con aire acondicionado y lo básico para cocinar si así lo desean, la vista desde la alberca es buenísima, tienes vista al mar y 4 camastros muy cómodos con su sombrilla. En el departamento tienes amaca y un tipo sofá en la sala donde puedes recostarte y tienen vista al mar. Definitivamente volveré a este sitio. La señora Carmen Nuñez, que es la encargada es sumamente atenta y muy amable, siempre al tanto de los inquilinos.

Translation: "It was a wonderful experience, it is located a few steps from La Madera beach, very close to the center of Zihuatanejo and a few minutes from the beautiful La Ropa beach. The house is perfect for 4 people, it has air conditioning and the basics for cooking if you wish, the view from the pool is great, you have a view of the sea and 4 very comfortable lounge chairs with your umbrella. In the apartment you have amaca and a sofa type in the living room where you can lie down and they have a view of the sea. I will definitely return to this site. Mrs. Carmen Nuñez, who is in charge, is extremely attentive and very friendly, always aware of the tenants."

Great vacation spot

We found this place to be EXACTLY as it was described, no surprises. It worked well for 2 couples. The resident Manager and security staff were super friendly and helpful. It was an awesome base to explore the Zihua area. 78 steps down to the beach, close to town, beaches, restaurants and shops. Nice guest booklet to orient visitors to the area. Appreciated the security. Beautiful pool. Visiting Zihau again after almost 30 years and were thrilled to feel the same feeling present in the area. The Paseo to town is a great addition. Sailfest folks making a fine contribution to the community.

Location, Location, Location

Location was great. Walking distance to everything we needed. City Centro, Market, shops, pool, beach. The condo was very functional with fabulous view. Kitchen has good counter space but appliances and kitchen tools could use an upgrade. We made good use of the electric frying pan. Would stay again.

Perfect location - La Madera two bedroom

The proximity to both a great beach and a great town centre are what makes staying at La Madera so wonderful. In this unit, the breeze from the ocean during the day and from the hills through the grill door at night make the living room comfortable. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The view is great and all the necessary kitchen equipment is there. Beach bags and beach towels were an unexpected bonus. The manager, Carmen, was always helpful. It takes 1 - 2 minutes to walk up the steps from beach for a moderately fit person. The pool is only one flight down . Highly recommend this property.

No words to describe the view!

My husband and I stayed with our two girls(17 & 11).Everything was perfect! We will definitely be returning. We always felt safe. Our girl could swim in the pool while we took in the view from Lanai. The condo has a safe provided, but never felt the need to use it. The guard was so accommodating on ordering cabs for us when we needed it. All the locals you’re so willing to share helpful information on the surrounding area. Highly recommended this for your next vacation

Our stay was very pleasant. The property has an excellent view and is convenient to Zihua as well as Playa Madeira. The A/C was welcome and the pool was a necessity due to temps & humidity in the summer. Property security was 24/7 and the neighborhood quiet. We will come back.

Great space, highly recommend, difficult communication

Let me start by saying that the property is exactly as described. It's centrally located on Playa Madera, walking distance to everything. The unit is in a secure and 24-hour guarded building, the pool is fantastic and well maintained and the views are breathtaking. We had plenty of space, loved being there and would go back. On the con side: The communication with the owner was difficult and we never got (even after reaching out to him on email) check-in instructions via text, the ap nor on email and had to call him after arriving at the airport. That was frustrating, and he had us call someone else to find the unit and get check-in instructions (so everything was verbal with non-English speaking cab drivers). If we didn't speak Spanish, this would have been pretty difficult. That being said, he did apologize, his site manager was fantastic, and we loved our stay. It wouldn't keep me from staying here again, I would just make darn sure I reached out to the owner a couple of days in advance. The unit is not brand new, but has everything you could ask for, fully equipped to cook- just bring food (check out the market, it's WELL worth the visit). The hammocks are a dream, the day bed and queen bed are super comfortable, there is an in-room safe, the security staff could not be nicer and you're on vacation! Enjoy!

We, Chris and Deb, live in Vancouver, B.C. where we’ve raised two children – now young adults – and several cats and dogs while working for over 30 years as educators / administrators / university instructors. Since retiring six years ago, wonderful new doors have been opened for us, not the least of which has been our discovery of Mexico and Zihuatanejo.

Why they chose this property

It was a bleak, wet January in 2013 when we decided to run away to somewhere warm and sunny. We’d never been to Mexico, though had wanted to, and close friends / travelling partners had just returned from Zihua with the most alluring pictures and stories, so, we chose this as our run-away destination. Booking 3 weeks late in the season meant we had to book 3 week-long stays, each of which offered its own perspective on the bay and its neighbourhoods; the south slope of La Ropa beach, the middle of Madera beach, then the north end of La Ropa. It was during our time in Bahia Suites on Madera beach that we became truly smitten with this unique place, its owners and tenants, its welcoming Mexican neighbourhood and its beautiful location. Though never intending to own property outside of Canada, after some months of research and conversations with other owners of Mexican properties, we returned to Bahia Suites and lived for the month of November in the condo we subsequently purchased in January 2014.
