7000 sq. ft. of living area with many amenities and fantastic views!

5 spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets, flat screen tv's and dvd players. Beautiful views of the lake. The master bedroom is complete with it's own private bathroom with double headed shower. Also included are 3 other full bathrooms. Laundry room comes with washer and dryer in a very spacious room. The enormous great room comes with 26' vaulted ceiling and fireplace. The marvelous kitchen comes complete with stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and stove/oven. The kitchen also includes a butcher block island and multi-person breakfast bar. The jumbo sized pantry allows for spacious food storage. All this allows you to enjoy your fantastic meals in the over-sized dining room. The office comes with a large desk/work area, also a full size bed and television. The lower level houses the recreational room complete with bar, fireplace, pool table, and foosball table. 18 person theater comes complete with 7.1 dolby surround sound system and 120' high definition screen and comfortable reclining seats. The house is furnished with a full house sound system with i-pod docking station which is included out on the vast 12' x 40' deck with extreme views of the lake and grill, a Blackstone is available as well. There are 4 kayaks/paddleboard/paddle boat and multiple bicycles available for you to use. Relax in the 6 person outdoor hot tub over looking the lake. You can also enjoy the extreme northern skies next to the custom made fire pit! We have put a ping pong table in the 3 car garage along with other games. This beautiful property has outstanding views from virtually every room in the house.

Our stay was for a family Christmas, with 12 adults and 8 children. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, the rooms and beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed. We weren't able to use the hot tub due to the bitterly cold weather, but the movie theater was a hit! Communication with the host prior to our stay was great and the check-in process was easy. Very spacious, so we never felt overcrowded with kids and adults. Would definitely stay again!

Winter family getaway

Kids loved the spacious area and Foosball table and theatre room. Plenty of room for all of us. Maintenance items should be addressed.

Wonderful Place

The home is everything it was advertised to be. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful view. We had a little trouble with the boat's battery but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Battle Lake is so beautiful and clean and this house was top notch. We all had a blast! We had so much room, the kids loved the theater and game room and of course the lake!

Family lake vacation

The house is huge! We had plenty of room for our group of 13! The rooms are all nice and spacious as well as bathrooms! We had had a few minor issues, but the owner was very responsive and addressed them right away. Check in and check out was very easy. We used the boat lift and dock which was nice to have. Overall a great stay!!

Great place for large family gathering

This property was wonderful for our large family to celebrate the holidays together. Lots of bedrooms, large kitchen, theatre room and game area in basement provided plenty of space for everyone. The host even had the home decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise! We would love to stay again. We also paid extra for the hot tub, it worked great and had a beautiful view of the lake.

Amazing place on the lake

Place is big and had plenty of space for all of us ( Group of 20 - Adults + Kids under 8) Place had Christmas decorations on when we checked in and it was magical and lovely. Less than ideal

To begin, the property owner was extremely responsive and some of our issues were out of his control. However, the biggest gripes out of the stay came down to three things.... Lack of cleanliness, mice feces, and lake itch. Yes, I know lake itch is completely outside of their control and I don't blame them. However, after going to town to the pharmacy to get creams, the lady working there said the lake is known to have lake itch all summer. I guess, just a disclaimer would have been nice to have. Lack of cleanliness, washing off the counter when we got there and the rag came back black. Dead bugs... I get it, that happens but the bugs were EVERYWHERE... Centerpieces, table tops, carpet, etc. Noticed on the first day that the main floor bathroom had crusted pee on the floor behind it. Ick!!!! The last straw was the mice. My mom could here scurrying in the ceiling the first couple nights. Taking out any cooking pans, bowls, plates, etc we had to prewash as there was mouse poop in them! We were going to have a movie afternoon since the kids were miserable with lake itch, wanted to use the big popcorn maker. Figured I'd do a pre clean (with the track record for the weekend) and there was mouse turds at the bottom of the popcorn maker where the popcorn would lay. That was 3 days after we got there!! There were mouse traps every where and a mouse or two happens but this was bad. Owner didn't want to hear about the issues and denied it was a problem. Do have pictures.

Beautiful house on the lake for large families!

Overall, the house was beautiful and just as described on the listing and fit our huge family of 20. There was more than enough room for us to hang out and relax. The kids love the ping pong table and pool table and adults loved the movie theater room. They had tons of stuff to play outside like the bags and kayaks. They had lots of towels for the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, baking trays, anything you needed they had it! Only item missing was paper towels/napkins which was fine. The only issue was the cleanliness and a little bit of maintenance items. Like the other reviews said, some of the railings were unsteady and wobbly so we were scared for the kids to use it and lean on it. The railing upstairs and the railing going down to the lake.The bbq grill needed a good cleaning. All of the bathrooms needed a good deep clean. We did pay extra for the hot tub but when we got there it was green water and had brown bubbles coming out of it when we turned it on, so that was disappointing since the lake water was too cold to swim in. The owner did refund us as we were not comfortable using it as it seemed unsanitary. The owner is very responsive and had good communication when we had any questions and issues with the place. The house is a little outdated, if they worked on the cleanliness a little more and fix a few items to keep up the house, this would be 5 out of 5 stars! Even with the issues, if we would come again!

The property was very nice but I had some strange interactions with the host. To begin, two minutes after booking the host called to offer that we take this deal off the VRBO site to avoid the fees. I did not want to violate VRBO rules or fall victim to a scam so I did not take the host up on the offer. I stayed at the home with no issues until after checkout. A few days after I left and did what I thought was everything required of me, the host began to nickel and dime me on claims of minor details such as furniture that was not exactly where it was supposed to be. They claimed pictures were off kilter (how hard is that to fix), claims of lights being left on, and the laundry room being a mess (there were sheets from every bed placed there as required by the host). The host reached out on my cell via text to try and get money for these things. Then the host brought up the hot tub fee, which was very unclear on the original posting (it has since been changed). The hot tub was listed as a home amenity and the listing stated no hidden fees (I have a screenshot). This has been changed on the listing since I went back and forth with the host. I very much enjoyed the property but should let folks know that even after leaving the space very clean with no damage they attempted to get more money from me.

Ample space, full kitchen needs! More tinsels, pans, dishes etc… than needed. Brian was very responsive. House is getting a little dated but other than that… we were very pleased

Family vacation for 20 (3 - 69 yr old)

Our stay was awesome ! The home & property was perfect for our family- with 7000 square feet we had plenty of room- great bedrooms, huge recreation room and theatre! We spent a lot of time outdoors on the huge deck, lawn and on the lake . Battle Lake is beautiful - great for swimming, fishing and boating! Brian was great to work- we would highly recommend his home!!

Getaway

The land owner was very easy going and easy to work with. However i feel like we stopped the repair guys and cleaning service in the middle of there work preparing for the summer. The trash can in the kitchen wes full yet and some dishes were put away still dirty from cooking. It could have been cleaner and more organized. We were able to get the tvs working and sound system working with the help of a few family members and some batteries. Besides the hot tub not working it all was great. We made ourselves at home and had a great time. The place is very nice and roomy and would be beautiful when its ready and during summer months. I would recommend it but just be ready to make your self at home.

Excellent Place for a Large Family

Way better than the pictures. Easy communication with the owner with any issues. Lots of room and things to do considering it was -31 outside at times! One of our vehicles did not start but the owner was very accommodating to us having to leave late. My adult children loved the hot tub! Thank you!

Great family cabin!

My friends and I loved the space here. Plenty of bedrooms and amenities in the house to keep us all entertained. There were a few minor issues but the property owner was responsive and addressed them for us.

Escaping the City

The pictures doesn’t do this place justice. A perfect place to escape for the weekend. We had everything we needed. There was enough room for everyone. Our family enjoyed themselves. We will definitely consider this property in the future

This property has so much to offer families that just need to get away and relax. Once you have visited this property I am sure you will want to re-visit it!

What makes this property unique

When I first visited this property it had a mobile home and detached garage. I walked around to the lakeside and the view absolutely took my breath away. I made an offer without even looking at the mobile home, knowing that views like this is very unique and difficult to find. I am quite sure you will agree with me when you come to visit!
