Cute & Clean
Property was clean and perfect for two people who needed a great place to come home to after a day of hiking. Perfect for hanging on the porch and doing nothing! Right across the street from one of the only markets in the area and a minute from the bottom of the hill. We loved it!

Thank you for your kind words! You are welcome back anytime. The location couldn't be better for those Park holidays. Come stay with us again.

I was very happy with the location of this cabin, it’s extremely close to the sequoia park entrance and conveniently located next to a market and other restaurants. Shea was very receptive and quick to respond to calls or texts. The cabin was well stocked and cleaned.
The property was great, a cabin overlooking the river, as advertised. The river was too low to see when we were there in summer, but I guess that is a seasonal thing. Close to the park entrance and local shops. Great location. It's on a road, so there is some road noise. But nearly all the traffic is to the park so it stops around dusk.

Wonderful cabin so close to the park!
My fiancee and I stayed at this cabin for two days over the Valentine's Day weekend. It was wonderful! The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the things that we could need to make our own food for the weekend, and much more. The bathroom was great and the owner provided toiletries so that was extra nice to not have to bring our own. The cabin was a good temperature and the bed was comfortable. The hot tub was great, except it seemed to be a little cold when we went in. This place was so close to the park entrance and I would definitely stay there again. Loved it!

Not great
The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. Not to mention it's so loud you wake up from the noise just rolling over. The floor was sticky. When we arrived and put our pocket items on the entertainment center there sat a marijuana roach from the previous guest. It also made the room stink! Which made me think if they didn't see that how clean can this place be? Well, I found out looking at the dishes. So gross! It had a clean coffee pot which was nice just no coffee filters. This isn't a cabin. It's more of a motel with three two units. I got to know the neighbors real quick because you could hear everything. The road noise is also really, really loud. It was very close to the entrance of the park and clean towels. Those were the positives.

We’ve replaced the bed with a very comfortable queen bed (many guests ask us where we got the mattress because they love it!) Cleaners are always required to do a thorough cleaning.
We had a very nice stay at this cozy, clean property. Responsive hosts, very comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, and very close to the park. We enjoyed having dinner and breakfast on the patio looking over at the hills and listening to the rushing river.
Clean rustic cabin! Outside patios were a bit rough but heat and bugs this time of year make it less than ideal...no fault there just be aware. Only complaints are minor... bathroom faucet drips (but no noise), pipes "sing" intermittently, and internet is on and off in terms of connection. So be prepared to be disconnected which is a good thing! Overall, great location, and food at totem across the road was really very good. Really enjoyed the stay and would do it again no problem!
Dirty room, the bed was terrible. The housekeepers stated to clean the cabin after we checked in at 4 pm and the only thing they did is to changed the bed sheets. We will never go back there.

Convenient location to Sequoia Nat'l Park
Little cabin on the Main Road about 3 miles to Sequoia National Park, so you will hear the trucks/ cars at night. Back patio offers privacy for dinner not close to the river's edge. You can hear the water from a distance.Comfortable bed, quaint kitchen, bathtub needs some TLC. Enjoyed the area, owners are local & the landscape is beautiful. Don't miss exploring Mineral King Road. Enjoy a beverage across the street & meet local folks from Three Rivers, they are very nice!

The cabin was clean and tidy. All amenities were in working order. WiFi service worked but slow.
This cabin provided the experience of romantic seclusion, but with the comfort of modern amenities, such as running water, refrigerator and freezer, electric stove and oven, microwave, propane grill and WiFi. My husband and I were able to stop at a quaint local food market, within 10 minutes driving distance, to buy groceries for several nights' dinners. After dinner we sat on the back deck watching the sun set over the mountains and listening to the river. The best part was that our cabin was two miles from the entrance to Kings Canyon, where we spent our days hiking trails. We would definitely recommend this residence to other couples.

property description is not completely accurate, photos make the place seem much larger than it is
By the description on VRBO I though the cabin would be slightly more secluded ....however it was on the busiest road through Three Rivers and you had to walk through about 30 yards of brush and bramble behind the property to view the river. Tiny outdoor space and lots of traffic going by. Photos were a bit deceiving as place was very small but it was extremely clean and did have nice knotty pine throughout. Also had wifi and good TV, bed ok. The cabin was attached to another cabin and walls were a bit thin especially the first night when the other guests were in and out. A big plus was the Totem store/ restaurant across the street- very friendly people and had decent food and plenty of supplies. Good location close to entrance to Sequoias and there were restaurants close by. We like the Ol Buckaroo.

Perfect as a home base for touring Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon
Great little cabin - nice and clean, comfortable bed, nice linens provided, cozy, air conditioned. Nice outdoor patio and deck. Nice view of a mountain. Overall, very relaxing. The cabin is on a main road, however, It is very quiet at night. There is a small grocery store across the road.

Comfortable stay just outside the park
If you are looking for a great place to stay near the park then stop looking right now. Pam's place is very comfortable, clean, adequately equipped and very close to the entrance to sequoia national park. She is very attentive to your needs and a perfect host. I would book again if ever in the area. The only suggestion I have would be to add a hand held shower wand in the shower because it's really low if you are a taller person.

Close to Sequoia!
We loved how close this cabin was to Sequoia--less than two miles to the entrance of the park. It made it easy to drive in and out every day. The fall weekday rental prices are very reasonable. The cabin is super cute inside and there is a generous private BBQ/outdoor eating area. Five deer joined us as we were eating breakfast one morning! The only downside is that this particular cabin is a duplex and you can hear other people talking/watching TV on the other side of the duplex, which made it feel more like a hotel room.

Great stay!
We stayed here to visit Sequoia National Park and we were not let down. 15 minutes after our arrival we spotted a bear right outside the cabin! The drive to the park was maybe half an hour depending on traffic, which was great! The room was very clean and included everything we needed: kitchen and all utensils/cookware, bathroom and toiletries, bed, and even cable! The only issue we had was with the wifi connection, but all of the great aspects outweighed this small, insignificant, single problem. We would definitely stay here again if we planned on making our way back to SNP!

Cozy Cottage very close to Sequoia National Park
We had three nights in this wonderful cottage, which was very close to the entrance to Sequoia NP. Our cottage was one of four and it made a fantastic base for our stay. It was roomy inside with a comfortable queen size bed, night stands, dining table and chairs, good sized closet, functional kitchen which lead out to a private patio area with table and chairs. There is parking in front of the cottage, which made it easy to unload and load the car. As the weather was good we enjoyed eating both breakfast and dinner outside while watching the woodpeckers and other birds flying about. You could even see bats in the early evening. Pam provided excellent correspondance and details on how to find the cottage, and it was lovely to meet her husband Greg and have a chat. We highly recommend these cottages, and would stay there again if ever in the region.

Nice, Clean Place to Stay With All the Basics
These cabins are located off of highway 198 just a few miles from the park entrance. This makes it very convenient to get to the park early and stay late--hike all day! The cabin is furnished with basic cookware, mini-fridge, electric range and oven, and everything else you see in the pictures. It's a small room so you'd better be comfortable with each other, but we had no issues fitting our bags and backpacks. As another reviewer wrote, if you are looking for luxury look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a clean, basic place to that feels like it really fits in with the area, look no more!
We picked up groceries in Visalia on the way in; it's the last large populated area before reaching Three Rivers and a 45-minute drive from these cabins. The only restaurant we ate at while in the area was the Pizza Factory. They were packed, and service wasn't the greatest, but they do make a good pie.

Perfect cabin for 2!!
This is clean n cute cabin for 2. We were here for 2 nights and our experience was too good! We saw 2 deers in back side of the cabin and other day at 3 am we saw a Big brown Bear in the porch, he was trying to find some food. We were very happy to see wild life near the cabin itself. Coming to the Cabin, its very close to the Sequoia national park entrance. Cabin has a good small kitchen with utensils, fridge. We cooked some meals for our brkfast & enjoyed eating outside in the patio. Walking distance to the river. Bed was very comfortable for 2. Good wi-fi. There's no closet to hang clothes. There is an automatic soap dispenser for body wash, shampoo n conditioner in bathtub, but nothing was written on it, so it was very difficult to find out what is what :-o. Towels were provided. Other thing, there is no restaurants in the park. Totem market is just opposite to the cabin, you can get sandwitches n burritos from there to take it with u in the park. Overall great experience, property owner Pam is very reponsive. Had a great trip:), will be back soon and will definitely recommend it to others.

Rustic and clean
I give four stars because to me 5 stars represents luxury. I found the place to be just as pictured and clean. Had a couple of small problems that Pam the owner cleared up immediately. We enjoyed boulder hopping in the creek behind the cabin. We saw a black bear in the creak less than a 1/4 mile away. Remember you are looking to rent in a rural area of CA right on the border of Saquioa National Park so if a small clean cabin with a rustic feel is what you are looking for you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for luxury I don't think you will find it in the area. Thanks Pam.

Great cabin, pride of ownership shows.
Lovely little cabin for two. We loved the deck and enjoyed making small meals in the kitchen. Having air conditioning was a plus! One can not miss the Congress Trail near General Sherman's tree in the park. Owner was a charm to work with. Do not hesitate to book.

cute little cabin in a great location
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a Sequoia trip for a weekend. The cabin was clean and rustic, and had all the basics that we needed for a weekend. The location is right down the street from Sequoia and very close to several places to get food. We ate at the ole buckaroo all weekend which had delicious food! Our cabin also had a patio overlooking the river which was a nice place to relax after a long day of hiking. I highly recommend this place!

About the host
Hosted by Shea Lockhart
Family and friends, natives to California and The Sequoia National Park area. We love our area and enjoy providing accommodations that have the best locations, and amenities offered to travelers, coming to visit the Sequoia and Kings Canyons National Parks, and the Mineral King Alpine valley. Just 1 and 1/2 miles from the Sequoia National Park Gate!
Why they chose this property
It's all about the location. The views are spectacular, and convenient, yet back up to wilderness of wildflowers fields with beautiful boulder garden designs and River below. You are literally surrounded by nature, but a short walk to groceries, bbq, deli, gift shop with a new redwood paneled wine tasting room. The cabins are great accommodations for visits to both the Sequoia National and Kings Canyon National Parks.
What makes this property unique
A great Cabin experience with knotty pine paneling, with all of the amenities of home. You will not be roughing it here; more of a retreat feel.
