A superb recently refurbished apartment in this highly sought after resort

Lucia is a luxurious and wonderfully spacious 3 bed apartment situated in phase one of the famous Palmyra estate located on the 5 star Pestana Villa Sol Golf Resort.

Only 20 minutes from Faro airport the apartment is a superb location for families with young children. It is very spacious with 3 large bedrooms all with their own bathrooms.

Lucia is a ground floor apartment situated right in front of the pool . This means that it gets all the evening sun on its front porch fabulous for evening sun downers !

There is also a baby pool in the pool area which is great for little ones. The gardens surrounding the apartment are beautifully maintained and perfect for children to run around in with safety. Outside gazebos make the perfect spot for family lunches and dinners.

For golfers the apartment is only a short walk to the famous Vila Sol golf course and golf school. Perfect for young enthusiasts and keen golfers alike.

For fitness enthusiasts there is a fantastic gym located in the Pestana Hotel and again only about a 5 minute walk away. Weekly spinning classes and 1-1 personal training is provided by Claudia the best spinning Instructer you will ever experience !

For foodies the apartment is within 2 minute driving distance( 10 minute walk) of 4 of the best restaurants in Vilamoura. Fire, El Paisegem, Moon and the Bistro Wine Bar. All offer great food and great atmosphere . Oscars pub is also great for drinks and offers big screens for football matches and the like.

For families who like adventure and action the apartment is located about 5 minutes away from one the best water parks in the Algarve - always a great day out for the family.

The Vilamoura Marina with all its restaurants and shops is only about a 10 minute drive away. And Quinta shopping and the Val de Lobo resort is also only about 15 minute drive away .

The apartment itself is fitted to the highest of standards. There is marble flooring throughout, a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and a full sized plasma TV.

In short this is an idyllic place to unwind, relax and enjoy the pleasures of the Algarve evidenced by the fact that we welcome returning guests to the apartment year after year. In short its the perfect location from which to enjoy a holiday in the Algarve and is especially suited to families with young children.

There are Uber taxis readily available but to really enjoy your holiday a car is recommended.

What a lovely place this is. Perfect for our family of four. Lovely spacious apartment, nice pool area, close to Vilamoura and Quarteira and within driving distance to Albufeira too. Clodagh is on hand to help with any issues that come up and made us feel so welcome. We hope to return again in the future!

Great Winter

Even though it was a terrible season for rain, we had a great time in the Algarve. The unit was exactly as described and the location couldn't have been better. Took Uber to tons of restaurants and we backed onto the golf course. We had an issue with the water heater and the owners had it fixed immediately, great service.We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend the condo.

Lovely Apartment

Our stay at your apartment during December was very enjoyable. The apartment and indeed all the apartments at Palmyra were extremely nice and very well presented including the outside pool areas and gardens, the underground parking and security gates makes this development a great choice. We have stayed at Vila Sol on many many occasions and always enjoy our time there. We always hire a car which is an essential and the golf is always good and the green fees this year were half price really excellent value. A great place to come with or without children, the restaurants in Almancil are fab. Your apartment was perfect, very clean and spacious and one of the best we have stayed in.

Wonderful apartment close to pool

We had a lovely weekend for a family wedding. 3 generations the apartment is perfect with the downstairs bedroom which ensures everyone had space. Also very close to pool made everything very easy.

Fantastic apartment!

Has to be one of the best apartments we've ever stayed in! Set in beautiful gardens, a stone's throw from a lovely pool, it is perfect. The pool is great for kids and adults alike with a very gradual shallow end for little ones and a deeper end for more able swimmers. The apartment itself is extremely well equipped and has lovely decor. It has A/C throughout and is very spacious. There is a lovely big bedroom downstairs as well as 2 on the ground floor. Underground parking is an added bonus. If you don't hire a car then an Uber to the marina costs around €5 each way. We did hire a car and got it considerable cheaper through Doyouspain. Clodagh gave us really good communication. I cannot recommend highly enough! We will definitely be booking this apartment when we visit Portugal again. 5***** Here's some places you may wish to visit: Aqushow, which is just around the corner. We got out tickets for €23 by searching for a discount code. Fantastic water park. Take a picnic to save money! Zoomarine is a great day out. Don't miss the pirate show! Tickets online were €31 but you can do a second day for €10. Food at the park was, pretty reasonable. If you fancy something different, head down to Arthur's watersports at Vale do Lobo and hire a pedalo for €20 for 30 minutes on the lake. There's a lovely board walk through an area of natural beauty with a bridge that takes you over the dunes onto the beach. Here there's a little snack place where you can grab a drink, sandwich, ice cream. There's also a mini golf nearby called Par Tee golf where for €13 you can have a round of golf and a drink. The mini golf in Villamora is also brilliant. It has 2 18 hole courses. For a great cheap meal or takeaway, try the chicken shack in Quarteira, near Lidl. You'll get a whole spit roast chicken and chips for around €5 (takeaway).

Wonderful home and environment for a peaceful stay.

Everything was as it was described. Ownership extremely cooperative and available, great environment, perfect vacation home. Although the location is not right on the seaside, and you need the car to do whatever you need, it only takes a few minutes drive for anything you may want or need doing. Very good location in center of the Algarve. Very safe, too.

we found the apartment to be exactly as listed, modern, right beside the swimming pool, very spacious and the kitchen literally had everything you could want. There was also a safety gate for the stairs. the apartment was spotless when we arrived and is very well maintained. it is the perfect location for a holiday with young children, we travelled with a 3.5 yr old and 14month old and it really was home from home. Car rental is necessary. we didnt eat out with the kids but popped to the hypermarket 5 mins away everyday for fresh food. we brought our sky card which was a big advantage as the girls cold watch their bedtime show. there were lots of families there at the same time with young kids (under 5's) so we had nice company. a lot of the people we met were return visitors to the complex. i would recommend lucia apartment to friends and family and would return again.

Beautiful apartment

We had a fantastic holiday at this apartment, it was very clean and well looked after as was the whole Palmyra complex. The owner was very helpful right from day one and had also provided a lot of good information in a folder within the apartment. The pool facilities were great and the communal gardens were beautiful. Lovely spacious apartment in a beautiful complex

We spent 1 week in this lovely apartment in early June 2011. There was more than enough room for 4 adults and an 18 month old boy who loves to run around! Everything was very modern, clean and comfortable, good aircon system, with a well equipped kitchen and a large dining and lounge area. The terrace overlooked a really well maintained garden and pool area which meant we could hop in and out of the apartment in between stints in the glorious sunshine. The pool is large and was fairly quiet most days, with a nice little baby pool and splash areas dotted around. Very family friendly with a nice life guard. The apartment was really easy to drive to from Faro airport (25 mins) and there's a basement parking spot with a door straight into the apartment. I wouldn't recommend staying here without a car - it wouldn't be particularly easy to walk to the shops or restaurants, especially not in the heat, and you'll want to be able to get to the great attractions nearby. In particular the marina at Vilamoura is great for restaurants and is 10 minutes drive away. We also ventured to other towns on the coast (Albufeira, Portimao) which were easily reached. Clodagh (the owner) was really helpful and easy to get hold of before and during the stay - thanks! We didn't take up the golf, but we had a great time and would recommend staying here for those with young families and/or anybody looking for relaxation within an easy drive of the Algarve's fantastic coast.

Simply put its fab for families with young kids. We have spent many a summer here and the kids have always been safe and have loved the pools and gardens to play in. Its especially great if a few families come together . We have enjoyed many evenings sitting on our porch after sharing a lovely meal and great wine!

What makes this property unique

Safe for kids . In high season there is a life guard on duty and you can always rest assured your kids are safe.
